I would hate to have to walk a mile back into the woods with that hanging on my bow, not to mention pulling it up the tree. I can honestly say that I would rather shoot a crossbow if I couldn't pull my bow back than use that contraption even if legal.
I had rotator cuff surgery about ten years ago. In PA, if you have a Dr's note, the Game Commission will give you an exemption to use one of these devices. I used one for two seasons. Most states will give you the exemption, with a Dr's recommendation. It allows those of us with medical issues to continue to enjoy the hunting we so enjoy. Now, a lot of states will allow you to use crossbows under the same circumstances. I have no issue with anyone using one if it is the only way they can bowhunt. I prefer it to the crossbow.
