Thank you for that But I must say, Wildland is one thing I'd never be able to do. We always get one or two hay field fires a year and those are a pain! So thank you, too. I hope it's not as bad as last year for you all!
What people call a bad year is a good year for us. Today I was dedicated to an RX fire but first to peel of for an IA got to chase a wildfire and go back to do another RX burn so it was base pay of 12 plus hazard pay and OT. Because I am back within 12 of H pay I get time and a half the whole shift, one departments drudge is my motivation. But still the VFD's are the most dedicated people I have ever worked with.
