Taurus PT 92-SS-tactical, w/ a 30rd. clip.........:D Because I don't think I can miss 30 TIMES, but I know I could a few......
In MD we cannot carry. The handguns I have are in the bedroom where I can get to them when I hear the dog eating the home invader. I will use the gun to put the home invader out of their misery from the dog attack . That is also the room my wife and daughter will go to in case of emergency. LOL When I hear the dog growling.
It's really not that bad. I never thought I would carry it anywhere, but like I said, it's damn convienent.
The reasons I'll be carrying are many. As I mentioned in my opener, I'll be working in a gun shop. Um, yeah. I'll be packing there. And yes, also because I CAN. I'm a Red Blooded American, and damn proud of it! If I can carry legally, I'm gonna. Nough said. And, while I've never been in a position where I wished I would have had one, and hope I never am, I want the defense. We all have the right to protect ourselves. And unfortunately, the world is not a nice place. Nice, innocent people find themselves in harms way every day, and some pay the price. I may go down, but I'm not goin w/out a fight. I'm refuse to live in fear of it, but at the same time I also refuse to turn a blind eye to it.
Great post. I think you should look to have a mix in your arsenal. Perhaps a 9mm on the hip and a .380 or .38 on the ankle for at work, then move the .380 to a pocket hoster for running errands, and then some sort of under the shirt/coat set up with the 9 for when you go out in less than friendly areas.
Free men do not ask permission to bear arms. I love that. Like Bruce....I've got a few rooms covered, here. But, if I was ONLY looking for a weapon to be my 1st line of defense in my home.....it would not be (and isn't) a handgun. Finch: I open carry here a lot. I've never had anyone say anything to me, yet. I've even been in Walmart with it on my side. I'm bothered my bank won't let me wear it in there, though. When I talked to the manager, she said she wished I could.
so again concealed carry in the state of mo. carrying a concealed gun in public, when can you legally pull and discharge that weapon as to the permit you have legally gotten from the state. i am not questioning your right to own or carry a gun. just asking the when and how your permit will allow you to pull it out and use it?
Ultramax I'll be honest and tell you that currently, I don't know how the law reads. But rest assured I'm gonna find out.
try carrying a loaded side arm around in this country and see how rough your day is. and yes you will have a lot of explaining to do to ever cop that see's you. you may have the right but in reality it is not going to fly.
When I was working the road I carried as a civilian, I carried a Glock 27 as my back up and CC as well. They make so many holsters for this weapon that you should be able to find one that is comfortable to you. Most of the other guys that carried off duty also carried the 26/27. depending on what round the liked. The 9mm is enough. The 40 i believe is the best overall round. Two other manufactures I would recommend is Sig and Springfield. Im a huge fan of Sig. The make a few weapons that are able to be carried comfortable. Im not a big fan of Springfield but a lot of others are, so I would check them out as well.
Well this is headed in a direction that was never intended but I suppose, unavoidable. I've got a couple months before I need to decide so I'm gonna beat the streets and find the right one. I'll be back with pictures when I get her home. My work here is done. Ya'll can duke this one out.
I HOPE people open carry where the law permits. We have dirtbags amongst us that carry every day of their scumbag lives, trust me.
