That in 2013 you will spend $45 on a deodorant stick full of doe piss, I would have said "You are Crazy".

Well I guess I am the crazy one, I am going to give this Conquest VS1 a shot this year, anybody ever used it?

I'm just sticking with the straight Evercalm. It's fantastic stuff. My little brother got the combo pack, so I'll see how it works. Good luck. Make sure you put a little behind your ears too :D

Somehow I manage to kill a mature buck and a couple does every year without using any deer piss, calls, ozone makers, charcoal clothing, any sort of powdered deer food, oh and my bow is 5 years old........you see where I'm going with this?

I tried Evercalm for the first time this year. I need to give it more time, possibly another season, before I can say whether I will continue using it. How I use it is, I put it on the base of a tree that I put a mock scrape under. In a previous post I was more keen on selling the bait but it's too early to tell. I personally think many products are just a gimic, just like many products, the purpose is to generate money not necessarily results. If you find a pinch point and setup on a deer path with the wind in your favor, eventually you are going to see deer. Period. I never had a problem before so unless I see a specific sign that says Evercalm is making me more successful as a hunter, I might stop using it.

Yikes, I missed that in the original post. I purchased mine for $15 and I estimate that it will last me 2-3 seasons since rain doesn't wash it off. If you are seeing it for $45 then I would NOT buy it.

The VS1, basically doe urine in stick form, is a lot more expensive than the Ever Calm

Let me clarify..... It is actually NOT deodorant. It is Doe estrous In a deodorant stick form, it is designed to be put on deer decoys, trees, boots, scent wicks, etc...

The VS1 average cost is $45, no matter where you look. The Evercalm which is different is around $15-$20, but it is supposed to be more of a calming scent.

I actually had a 20% off coupon so I ended up getting the VS1 for $36, so I figured what the heck I have wasted money on worse.

    Straight from the website

"VS1 is the only Whitetail buck attractant that has vaginal secretions"

How would you like to have that job? I'm picturing something like this.

got ya, I misunderstood and read post too quickly. I heard good things and that it is worth it. Haven't gotten any myself yet, just got some evercalm a couple weeks ago though. Maybe pick up some of the vs1 too now that the rut is just about here. good luck with it!

    Evercalm works.

Put some on the bottoms of your boots while walking to your stand, re applying every 100-200yds. Had a 150lb doe come in with her nose to the ground follow my trail up and down the edge of a field - Dropped her in her tracks under 20yds.

It tastes terrible. And it doesn't stop me from sweating when I use it as deodorant. Maybe I'm using it wrong.

Haha, lol's all the way through this thread!

Don't know about Vs1 but Evercalm works fantastic on my boots. Twice now I have had does either folloring my trail or cross it and after smelling it they just strolled right on by.
