Nope, but I don't personally get the point of using any mind altering substance. I like to be in control of myself.

I will be 53 this year, way back in my late teens and early 20s I smoked a ton of weed...

My 21 yo son smokes it on a casual basis and I hope one day he outgrows it the way I did...

To answer your question if it was legal would I smoke it now...No I would not..

All depends on how my employer viewed weed usage. If they still randomly tested for it, I wouldn't do it.

But if they stop testing or treated it like alcohol, then yeah, I'd probably smoke on occasion.

I've never tried it and never will. My husband smoked a few times years ago and I know some who use it. Comparing it to alcohol is somewhat justified, but you can have a drink or two and get a little buzz. But with weed, you're either sober or you're stoned.

To me, beer (and sake) taste good to drink. The only reason to smoke weed is to get high. I think romance is a much better high.

I believe most are correct in thats its no worse, at least from a physical standpoint, that alcohol. As a matter of fact, its probably less dangerous considering what they're even putting in beer these days.

I believe its like anyhthing else. For those who enjoy it, it not bad in moderation and if you're smart about it. Grab your bag of weed, doritos, stay home and puff away. No harm, no foul.

Seems strange that peoples perception of a pot smoker is that anyone who smokes it is blasted out of their mind wasted incapable of functioning. I have to imagine that just like a person that has 1-2 beers is not falling down drunk a person that takes a hit or two probably is not in a drug induced coma.

Yeah I can say that I have never had one hit and been on the ground lol, I feel a buzz from a good craft beer before I do smoking a little pot. In most cases I am a lot more productive after smoking than drinking.

I was working as an apprentice plumber when I started smoking it , we would burn one in the truck on the way to the job and another at lunch and then one on the way home,we never got stoned on the job just got a nice little buzz. It didn't affect our productivity either we used to rough in or finish at least two houses a day.. I found that back in the day working as a plumber most in construction smoked pot, other used some sort of stimulant...

Pot comes from a plant, it grows naturally it was put on earth or evolved either way you want to look at it. It grows and is harvested without any processing it can be used. Same can not be said for other drugs or beer or booze. What is closer to purity as using a plant that grows or using something that is processed with chemical reactions and additives? I suppose hard cider and wine should be in the same group as weed. I have kids aged 21 and 19 I would rather have them experiment with an organic drug like weed, vs drinking to excess or other drugs.

Tried it a couple times when I was younger and it wasn't to bad. I would probably at least try it again if it were legal. I wouldn't mind trying it in an edible like a cookie or brownie.

If you make your own, do an internet search of say a beer like Corona and look at the chemicals.

My exact response. My job and employment are much more important but if I had a free pass and it was legal then yes I'd enjoy it on more than a few occasions. There are some nights I'd rather smoke a bowl than drink a couple beers before bed.

Some statements in here that I don't think can be justified by someone who's never smoked.
