125 Inch for some area's Is big and for others It's ok. I think they did a great job In setting the minimum. Actually there was talk of Increasing the minimum higher for whitetails. One other thing too, from what I understand It wasn't Saxton Pope and Art Young making the rules/regs here. It was a board who were from all over.

VS that is a very good question and I don't know what the answer is.

For me, a 130+ buck is a very good buck. After hunting mature bucks for quite a few years now, I try for bucks that are near the top for my area. Even now, with my new land, that means a buck that will usually go over the 130 mark.

I agree with Greg in that for me, it's more about hunting bucks that are towards the top end for the area I'm hunting.... Some areas I've hunted I don't even grab my bow for a 125, and other areas a 125 is a very nice deer and a shooter. So to me it's more about knowing what to expect for animals in the area your hunting and adjusting expectations accordingly.

I don't think you can legally shoot a brown bear that wouldn't make the P&Y minimum. Given the fact that I've passed on a lot of brown bears, I'd have to say that no, the P&Y minimum doesn't effect what I shoot. My trophy standards are governed more by what is available in the area. I've shot 110" whitetails in NY and considered them every bit as much a trophy as my P&Y moose or bear. Hell there isn't even a P&Y category for pigs and my 300# boar is one of my favorite trophies. No one else can or should dictate what you consider a trophy, it's a personal choice and standard.

I think if the P&Y standards were lower, the worlds deer would shrink...Then again, I didn't read anything past the first half sentence, So you probably shouldn't listen to this...

P&Y does nothing for me... I don't enter my deer, so nope... It wouldn't change a thing!

I think they should add 10 points to the rack of any buck they find with a herpes sore on his lips. Herpes sore=player=10 points to the rack score.

    Better MNKK? :)

My standards have raised over the years. Over the last few years I have set 150in as the min I will shoot (thats the main reason its Dec. 2 and I have yet to release an arrow). I will not shoot a buck that I dont put on the wall, and for me, here in Iowa, thats 150. I will shoot a couple of does later on in the season for the freezer, but if I dont get a chance at the 150 mark...it will be a tag sandwich for the buck tag. My standards have nothing to do with any book, just what I see as a trophy. If I lived in a different area Im sure my standards would be different.

Alright, I'll bite... I know you had a bad day. I just read your other post. But why do you think that you have to be such a sour dink a majority of the last week?

I have read numerous posts by you over the last few days, and a good number of them are of a negative context (yes, I believe some of which are justified). Unless of course you started them (the thread), or have a very direct interest in the topic (euro mount). If you don't like someone's comment, or just don't like them at all, steer clear of it. Nothing in the book says that you have to comment about every little thing that catches your attention. No, Nothing says you cant either, but it would be a lot better of a place. Kind of the reason that I come here instead of other hunting sites.

I don't come here looking for knowledgeable input, and a good time. If I wanted the constant bickering, and hostility that seems to follow some people around, I would go to a bar, or start a fight with my wife, quite possibly I would jsut go over to the AT website. There seems to be quite a bit of that over there. One thing I would not do, is come on here, and start making smart comments to people that are here for the same reason that I am. It doesn't make sense.

MNKK--buddy, I will tell you something in short instead getting into anything with you. You don't know me. The last post I made to you on this thread was my attempts to be funny with you, which I love being. You must misinterpet my posts because I have nothing but good feelings for most of the guys on here. I don't know what else to say to you, but you are dead wrong in your psycho-analysis of my character/attitude based on my posts. Name one instance where I said something mean or just crappy to someone....I don't behave like that and have proven it for many years on this site and others. Again, I don't know what to say to you.

Okay, Then I was wrong. I do apologize. I have been a little off lately. You are right, I don't know you, but psycho-analysis is putting it far beyond what it was...lol.

    HAHAHAHA!

I love bowhunting, everyone should try it!

By the way Josh, I really wanted to mount that arrowhead you gave me with my euro-mount, but I like bringing it with me on my hunts! Within the first two months of you giving it to me I arrow my biggest buck to date.....hmmmmm.
