I have had good results with buck bomb scrape generator. I've used them for two years straight and have had bucks take over all of my mock scrapes.

Most of the real active scrapes I've found in the past tend be under a broken branch, dropped tree,or a huge branch bent to the ground. The scrapes under small limbs seem to get hit a bit then go cold. Dead leave don't seem to matter.

Troy turned me onto Buck Fever Synthetics a few years ago. I love the stuff. I bought the forehead gland scent as well as the pre/post pee scent. I keep mock scrapes going year round and the deer visit them year round. Here's a few pics from scrapes I've created.

Which dripper do you use with the Buck Fever Synthetics?

How do you apply the forehead scent?

This might be a little late but if you spray active scrape on the ground and then use EverCalm on the licking branch where a buck will rub his orbital glands you will find some good success. Then in a few weeks hang a dripper and put regular doe pee in, then about the middle of October, start adding in some doe estrus with the doe pee. Each week thereafter add more and more doe estrus until that's all thats in the dripper. Then whenever you are there to hunt, pour a small amount of buck pee next to where the doe estrus drips from the dripper. This is a combo that I use and it drives bucks wild.

I actually don't use a dripper. I have one but have never put it out. It's not that I don't like them...just never used it yet. I just refresh the scrapes whenever I check my cams.

The forehead scent is in a spray bottle. I just spray the licking branch enough where it begins to drip down into the scrape. If you decide to buy the stuff, the 8 oz bottle of forehead scent will last you a long time. The urine is what I really go through but I still only buy 8 ozs at a time.

I do exactly as Finch with application, one thing I have done further is I'll split the branch of the licking branch and spray some forehead scent into the split keeping more from washing away. The goal is to allow the deer to take over the scrape, which is why I don't use the dripper.

Just bought some of that BF forehead gland stuff this weekend. I had no idea if it was good or not, got a big bottle on clearance. Says it never spoils so I figured what the heck. I'm glad I got it now after reading this.
