My sentiments as well. Selective Culling?

For me, Build a cabin, continue working my job, head north to AK every fall. Easy as that.

I could do a lot of 5 million. I'd invest in property (west), property (midwest) and more property (coastal). I'd drive modest cars and have a nice comfortable home but NOTHING to outragous. I'd make sure the property I purchased had a great return in CRP< TIMBER or both. I would farm both timber and crops depending on property. That would be my "new" career until the day I died. Oh and I would manage and hunt the heck out of it! I'd buy my wife a condo on the ocean somewhere and we would travel a ton.

My wife and I were watching Lottery Changed My Life last night and had this same conversation.......

I'd pay off my wife's school debt first and my truck. After that I'd take 4 million and put it in some sort of super low risk investment. After that I'd buy myself a 100 acres somewhere in the Adirondacks and build a log home, and use the rest to start a small business of some sort and of course a few toys.

That show is a prime example of what happens when people who have nothing suddenly have millions of dollars at their disposal. Every lottery winner should be made to watch this show before collecting their winnings.

I would buy 100-200 acer cattle ranch in Ok or Tx and hunt or fish any time I was away from the ranch. Any money left over goes in the bank after every debt is paid and goes toward funding hunt/fishing trips and a lil vegas mixed in.

Buy some land up here. A small cabin to live in and have a huge pole shed to play with. Build/restore cars, jeeps, snowmobiles. Hunt and photograph all year long.

I'd do some serious giving also :tu:

I'd buy 500-1000 tillable acres, and lease it out for income. I'd pay off what debt we have. I would still live in my Metal building house on my 40 acres. I'd probably buy some hunting land also. The rest would go to the bank, and I'd be living off the crop lease and interest payments of the money in the bank.

    I might work, but I don't think I'd have a job.

Buy land. Build house. Live debt and job free. That's about it. Basically I would retire.

Fitz you could work on my sled! totaled it doing 95 this last weekend, not the best trip I have had by far..
so with 5 million right now I would pick up a new Yamaha Nytro, pay the rest of my way through college in cash and invest the rest until I get the sheep skin on the wall. A log house on a bunch of land here in the midwest somewhere where I could get in at a decent Police department and have no worries all through life. My dream life in a nutshell.

Id keep my job and house. Buy a couple thousand acres of land somewhere. Invest the rest, get the kids through college and off to a good start with their lives.

I would buy the biggest piece of property I could find around here and create a hunting heaven. I would probably open a 3D course and maybe an Archery shop. Maybe. Oh and I would have to buy my wife some stuff too. lol
