On land my family owns it would be business as usual, if I was ever called on it I would plead self defense...."that deer was headed right for me!".

I was thinking the same thing. I'd move if this country gets that messed up. As for the question on my land yes I would hunt.Until I got caught then I might hunt again after that.I can walk in the woods with a spear if I wanted too.

I'd be seriously bummed! But my glass is half full, I always have fishing. Wild trout fishing is about equal to bowhunting "for me". Just in a very different way. It would just give me more time to hunt these little jewels.

I'd probably obey the law until I saw a buck chasing a doe, then all bets are off. :)

    My opinion as well Will!!
It is looking quite real that bowhunting may become baned here. There are alot of antis against us but it is pulling the bowhunting comunity closer.
If all else fails they will find me in New Zealand and will never see my tax dollars again!

If it were banned for a legitimate reason I would comply. If it were banned due to some off the wall bill that only a member of PETA would entertain, then I would be an outlaw just like GR8.

I've been thinking about this more since I first posted my answer. Though the answer hasn't change; Yes I would still hunt.

But what i've been thinking is what would be behind the banning of hunting. Archery hunting would probably the last type of hunting to be banned. It's not "evil" like some people view gun's and gun hunting, also it is seen as traditional or a more natural way of hunting. So it's a real long shot of an idea to think that archery hunting or hunting in general would be banned. What is more rational is the pricing of things like permits and the availabilty of land to hunt on. those two thing will effect hunting more than anything else. Hell the state land my dad, uncle and I usually hunt is no longer available, CT has now upped the prices of nonres licenses to 200 a year (hopefully getting repealed).

But if there is a law that if so blantantly unjust and is so stupid (insert peta ideology). I probably would not think twice about break/bending it.

This is the problem with this country...Too many people who would stand by and do nothing. They watch there individual freedoms taken away and still kiss the a-- of the ones doing it! This is why things don't change. I will not stop doing what I love and I am not afraid to say it. Gay marriage is ok, but hunting is illegal. Give me a break. Shows just how brain washed people are. "From time to time the tree of liberty must be shed with the blood of tyrants and patriots" Thomas Jefferson Laugh all you want, but before you do take a really good look at all that is going on around you. NO WONDER HUNTING IS LOOSING IT'S FOOTHOLD...Some day our Grand Kids can see how those of you who just decided to submit ruined it for them. What a sad country we live in...Our soldiers will die for every other country while this one just goes to he__!

I would Not break the law to hunt, and I'm sure I'll never have to make that decision. There are a lot of states and provinces that I could travel to.

Also there are many other venues of Archery I could enjoy, although I am a Hunter 1st & foremost.

    Guys,

This is real! Bowhunting in England...a thing of the past. With all the history and traditions, yep, it's gone! Do not ever kid yourself! Banning bowhunting is on the table in Western Australia as we speak!

Once people realize who I am, I would be allowed to do whatever I want. So all this really wouldn't apply to me.

But if it DID (just for the sake of discussion) - I'd probably just start killing animals by accident.

    Oops.
