If Bama wins tonight they are not national champs alone in my book. At best, it is a split national championship. LSU already beat them, so IF Bama wins, the head to head is 1-1. Just another reason WHY I hate this rematch. My 2 cents.
What about OSU? They were a conference champion and beat #4 Stanford. Even without the BCS game win, they are more deserving to be in the game than Alabama is. Alabama didn't even win their division, let alone conference! ESPN picks and chooses who they want in the big games by selective reporting. I cannot wait for the day someone else starts taking some of ESPN's conference contracts.
Okie st. was my personal pick that should of played in the MNC game. It's all water over the damn now. I'm just saying, IF Bama wins I don't hear that they are the best team in the land. They TIED for the MNC in my eyes. Hopefully LSU wins and that doesn't happen.
If Alabama wins, they are nothing to me.... They shouldnt even be in the game! If LSU loses, Okie State should be NC's.
You could argue either way that Bama or Ok St should be in the game and sound intelligent. You can do nothing but come across as stupid to say whoever wins tonight isn't a national champion. That's the definition of the winner of the National Championship Game. lmao I want an 8 team playoff, with out auto bids or holding teams back because of their conference. Top 8 BCS teams are in, winner takes all. It wouldn't have changed the outcome this year, but it would have made for a few extra beat downs to watch up to this night.
Agree...no matter how its done there will always be someone upset or left out, but an 8 team playoff means u have to play your A game for more than one night. It would be some good football.
Here you are sounding like a Bama fan again. :p See, god gave me a brain. I can figure out how we got here and not simply look at the "title" of this game. I can figure out that Bama should not be the undisputed NC if they win simply because of the flawed system gave this particular game a name. I have always hated this system (even before the BCS was created) as well and have always FULLY supported a playoff. Having said that, in the system we are in, the claim is that "every game matters". Well apparently it doesn't since we are having a rematch. So under this system where "every game matters" that means that each team would have won once. Guess they split the national championship.
If every game matters then Oklahoma State wouldn't have lost to Iowa freaking State. Iowa State! lol See how that works? It isn't about who SHOULD be here, its the simple fact that whoever is here and wins, is the champion. BTW, Alabama is showing why they should be here, and why they are better. Now someone give me some soap to wash my mouth out. I will be here next year touting LSU as I am Bama this year, they are young and nearly as good, they will only be better next year.
People can complain about the system all they want but Bama just completely mauled the undisputed #1 team tonight. It’s pretty hard to argue against them being the best team in the country now.
Serious question. Is it the best team right now or over the whole season? This isn't the NFL where you get a playoff. So when every game matters don't you have to win your conference or even divison to be the best team in the nation? I don't really care that they are the best team right now because the current system isn't supposed to work that way. Just saying.
