They'd have to be pretty hard up to steal my racks and mounts. :D

I would not have any hunting trophys for them to steal but the dogs in the house would keep them from stealing anything else ;) .

Spoken like a true FISHERMAN!!!! :D

You can't steal my memories. I don't have enough trophies in a physical sense that they'd be taking much. But the memories and pictures would be hard to take away since I have them saved online. But, God willing, I'd still track the little SOB's down and put a whoopin' on them for good measure!!!! The "trophies" on my walls weren't even close to my fondest memories, and their not from the most memorable hunts either.

I would be very sad and angry. My Grandfather looks at his 8 point from 1946 you can see him recalling the hunt in his mind.

I think IMO some are fooling themselves if they think they would not be upset if their mounts were stolen.
For those who state their memories cannot be stolen, I have watch it happen to one Grandfather and now my mother.

Miles keller took his top 24 heads to a show in Texas. They only had room for 8 heads so he left the other 16 in his trailer. The trailer was stolen along with the 16 heads. Ouch!

A guy I hunted with had all his mounts stolen as well.

I would be very angry and hurt. My mounts and other stuff I have collected are memories of many great days afield. I enjoy looking at them everyday. It's not about the stuff it's about the memories that the stuff remind me of.

I would absolutely be upset. It doesn't have to do with proving anything, it has to do with having a physical reminder, something I can still touch and look at to remind me of the good times. Sure, the memories would be there, but they would not be recalled nearly as often without the reminders of the moment. I love mounts. No one sees them that gives a crap except me. It isn't ego or boasting, it is a physical representation of a feeling. A sensation that only comes with a successful hunt.

The pictures would also be a huge loss. I love to flip through my photo album and just recall the moments that were captured. Again, I wouldn't think of them nearly as often if it wasn't for the pictures. Pictures can also remind you of how great some of the "unsuccessful" hunts were!

The first thing I'd do would be to see if my hunting journal was still there. If it was, then I'd be pi$$ed about the other stuff, but wouldn't worry about my hunting "career" and what I have to show for it.

As others have said, the memories are the real trophies and nobody can take those from you.

Im already running out of room for my stuff, lol

Pictures can never be stolen, and pictures are my favorite way to capture the moment. A nice little moment in time. I would probably be alright.
