When it comes to saving money, I am a bit of a tight wad, but when it comes to hunting stuff I dont bat an eye at it. Deer hunting is becoming more important than other items I need around the house haha. I know I can't be the only one right ?? Just crazy what we do for them animals. :bhod:

If it was up to me, I would probably have fold up lawn chairs in my living room and sleep in a sleeping bag and have all the hunting gear I want. But unfortunately, I have a wife and two children who wouldn't be very happy. I did just order a new bow but then she went and one upped me with a new 7 piece patio set and now is looking at a new pergola. I have a feeling things are gonna be tight for a while

I know my UPS driver and I tell him to leave packages where my gf can't find them or I will pick them up from him somewhere just so I don't hear her complain haha.

My wife complained up until I cooked some cream cheese stuffed in blackstrap wrapped in bacon. Now she saids, go hunting. I'm addicted to hunting I don't know about you guys. But I started hunting a few years ago and am hooked.

I get no complaints, it is not that expensive to get the gear you want, oh sure out of state hunts would get expensive but I take more pride in shooting bucks that grew up eating off my food plots and eating the feed I put out than traveling other places to hunt.

I'm gonna have to look up "pergola". My wife's only complaint is that I get completely obsessed for 2 weeks every November. She likes that it's really the only time of the year I spend much money. I've never hunted out of state, but I can't imagine any more pride in a deer than I get from an ol' fatty on my own farm (for $25)

From the beginning I told my fiancée that during hunting and ice fishing season I am a ghost
At the time I was deer hunting, grouse and pheasant

She was cool with that but has said that I am getting ridiculous since I added Turkey and Duck to the list and soon to be bear hunt next year.
I also mentioned about picking up shooting the coyotes on the off season of everything else to pass the time since I could do that all year :lmao: She didn't like that idea.

She comes bird hunting with me because she hates birds and wants to kill them all I try to get her to deer hunt but they are too cute I guess.

I think I will wait till after the wedding to mention I want to go west to get a speed goat too

haha. we try to tell our gfs and wives that hunting deer is only a couple months long and to just tough it out... They start telling me and my buddies " no, its more than a couple months... you got fishing that starts in the spring, squirrels season, hogs in the summer and back to deer"... its a never ending cycle! If you look at it, something is always in season right?!

My wife's complaint is that all I ever want to do or talk about is hunting. Also that I'll go hunting every single weekend and disappear in the woods for hours on in. That's why I let her buy what she wants so she doesn't get on to me for buying what I want.

Oh sorry kjstaudt86 I got off subject the answer to your question is yes all I can think about is buying new hunting gear. I've got climbing stands in mind, camos, bow upgrades lol you know I can't get on the internet without looking up hunting stuff. It's a blessing and a curse. Also I'm an avid duck hunter and that's just another expansive expense.
