Alright.. finally figured out how to sticky the sign-ups for our shed contest. Yeah!

This thread is for ideas.. maybe what different categories we could also have sticky-ed up top of the shed contest..

my guess is maybe a "biggest set category".. "biggest shed"... "smallest shed"... "most uniue"???

So this is it.. your chance to help sway our annual shed contest and what you think we should have to make this thing more interesting and fun.

    Ideas? Thought? Please list below.

gonna have a category dealing with dead bucks found?

what will the criteria be for determining a matched set? proximity? similarity?

asking because, I have found sets that I would swear weren't matches, but bucks harvested the following year have distinct similarities that lead me to believe they are matches.

Are we allowing all shedding animals... moose, elk, whitetails, mulies and ect... ?? Or just deer ?? I think it would be nice if all were allowed for at least the shed count for teams. Probably be a pain for the guys running the contest for all the catigories for biggest set, shed and etc... and just stick with whitetails. Just a thought.

I don't think we'll have a category for dead bucks found unless the majority wants it in.. but I can have a sticky up-top for pics of them.

We'll let evryone decide on that.

As far as each category would be concerned.. they would not help your team any.. other than adding the pair to your teams score. It would be more of an individual thing..

I'll sticky each category up top.. pics will be required for each of these entries ONLY.

I think any animals shed should count.

But I think we'll stick to only whitetails for the specific categories. Cool?

No one will have to measure their shed unless they enter it for the largest shed category.. then we'll use the (gulp) P&Y scoring system.. GROSS of course.:o

I like the photo contest thing idea. I can look for sheds where I hunt, but legally, I can't take them. :(

Damn....wish we would have done this a couple years ago. My personal best is 23 in a day. Followed by 19, 17 and probably 5 or 6 other days of 10+.

    One up that Duke. :)

Most I have found is 11 in a day. Tyler found 10 that day.

    Tyler's record is 19 in a day. I had to work. :(

Our best day together was 23 sheds.

I'll just have to take a day off from work and go tromping when he is in college to beat mine and his record. Need 4 more sheds on top of that to beat Dan's record plus beat our record of 23 sheds combined in a day ?? LOL Be something to beat the 4 records. That would be very tough to do !! 24 sheds in the day. I have a new shed goal !! :)

Good night, I'm out of my league here! If I find 1-2 good ones a year I'm pretty excited, can't imagine finding that many in a year let alone a day!
