Dont ya mean 1'st place :D

Rob, there was supposed to be 5 people per group, Isaac's group just got some extras who showed up late i do believe.

And we had stations set up with 3 or 4 different targets. We shot from the ground, atop rocks, from tree stands and elevated wood towers. It was pretty cool actually...I didnt get the pleasure of going into the swamp this year ;)

    ....also, notice my sig :p:D

    HAHA

well, to my credit, it was Dubs that handed it over to me... so as far as I'm concerned, he's the culprit... :D

btw - I should have taken a good picture of the righteous bruise i had on my right bicep the next day... looked and felt like someone kicked me there, turned 5 shades of purple... but then again, carrying dead weight isn't very fun... :p

keep the ideas coming. I have a few tricks up my sleeve already for next yr. B/C, I like the intro for members. That was supposed to happen at the meet-n-greet that morning, but somehow people went out & practiced at that time. But we'll put something together so that every one is introduced to each other. The other big thing is the camp out, the more we can get to the camp, the more we'll be able to meet b4 the shoot.

we may have to find another location if the camp-out gets to big though.... there wasn't a whole lot of space left with the crowd we had this year... is there another campground nearby???

The campout was my favorite part of the weekend truthfully, i got to meet alot of you guys and it was a more relaxed and less "competitive" atmosphere :D

My advice to you guys is to try your best to make the campout,

As for room, we could have set up more tents where we shot our bows, and over towards the woods more too. 2 more guys could have fit in mine as well.

I would like to see the carp with laser beams on their head that Racewayking suggested. Also the Thunderdome circle of death thing :D:D:D.

I would not mind a fee.

    1. I thought the prizes were good (as does Dr. Andy )

    2. I think the shoot was fair yes, but I'm in concur with Matt, if we have more people you've got to have classes. I also like the idea of shooting in peer groups maybe that are in the same class

    3. If the poker shoot returns, it needs to be very different IMHO. The ways I've seen it in the past is that everyone is dealt two cards that nobody sees, the rest of the cards are stuck to a poster board face up. Numbers are drawn to decide shooting order you then attempt to shoot the cards you want to complete your hand. The luck of the cards dealt evens the playing field, the fact that you can shoot someone elses card evens the playing field. The fact that you can draw 2 cards and if nobody hits their other cards you can win without having to hit anything. There also needs to be opportunity to miss, gaps between the cards, etc...

    4. The menu was excellent, it's important to have a food like chicken and pasta that will still be good 9 hours after it's originally served. :D

    5. I think it's totally acceptable to be charged for the shoot. No issues with that.

    6. If I know around April... I can do it.
