Ice Storm Coming

Thanks for your prayers. We have all the supplies we need. Looks like it is going to be as bad as it was in 2002 when we had over 1 inch of ice and lost power for 10 days.

Is it really supposed to be that bad? I'm in Chapel Hill and wasn't aware that there was going to be that much ice. I haven't kept too close of a watch at the forecast but haven't heard too many people talking about it.

 

Looks like ours may be just snow? Hopefully...Dwayne did you get any snow today ?

 

There were some areas East of Atlanta that could see up to or over an inch of ice. That's trouble. Hatteras already has 7 inches of snow.

Driving to PA tomorrow afternoon, then back to VA on Saturday morning. I am going to be in for hell I know it.

Thanks Matt. Every time I have returned to VA from PA over the past 6 weeks or so Ive driven through snowstorms. I am getting tired of it as it makes my 4 hour one way trips turn into 6-7 hour trips....hurts.

My area will be getting hit almost dead on. Some reports are 9-12 inches, some are even more than that. Stay safe guys!!!

 

I am 20 min west of Atlanta, we are seeing anything from .5" of ice to 6" of snow. it's here and they still don't know what is coming or going to happen. you guys be safe!!!

 

Just some flurries. Snow stayed south of us as expected. Did you guys get any?

Yeah it is going to be bad because of the ice coming afterwards. I don't think it will reach an inch of ice but close. But the ice on top of the snow is going to make it awful.

 

Crap, now the system is swinging further west than the models were originally showing. Looks like possibility of 4-8" of the white stuff for us.

 

NC is a mess right now. Hope I make it home from work...

 

My wife is stuck in it. Snow came Heavy and Fast! 3 inches fell in less than an hour and it is still coming down hard. Bad thing is the Heaviest Snow has not gotten here yet. She is maybe 15 miles away. It maybe 1.5 hours at the least before she gets here.
