We walked out last weekend. Heard reports ATVs may be allowed once this wind calms down. Hoping that's the case because I'm really not looking forward to dragging our gear 2 miles.
Forgot to take pics... Again. Got 17 between 7 of us. Drove the wheeler out over a mile with good ice. Won't be back until at least the 1st of the year. Hope they have the permanents out by then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pink, orange or green are my go to colors. 90% of the time I use jigs I will use orange and sometimes if the water is super clear I'll go to a tan or brown jig.
Im so ready! I picked up this shanty 2 weeks ago for $200. I just need to add the roof which will be made of polygal and the material was free. Plus tidy up a few other things on the shanty.
Dang if you are an ice junky you must be strung out, or suicidal out on the ice December 23rd and it is raining again.
We have fishable ice just to our north in Onamia (Lake Shakopee) - Friend hammered the crappies last weekend.
I'm thinking of buying this one man flip over shanty with camp style chair for $80 and it has never been used. Do it?
Hit a local lake this morning. One keeper crappie and about 10 sunfish. Couldn't keep the small perch off the hook so we left early. Atvs and snowmobiles on the lake we were on today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Finally getting some ice up here in MI. Fishing show this weekend in my town, anyone have recommendations on a good light action panfish ice rod? I currently have a frabill hvy for walleye and lakers...a little to heavy for the sensitive panfish..
Spendy rods... But well worth the money. St. Croix Rods | Legend Ice Rods | Ice Heading to Red Lake again this weekend - Trucks and wheel houses are being allowed finally.
St.Croix is always worth the cost to me, any suggestions on length of rod? I'm assuming 24" is most common because that is what my Frabill is..
Yeah I would roll with the 24" - Can't go wrong with that length, no matter what kind of rod you're looking at.
