NOT! Actually I won a key to win the Harley. :d In the Rock and Roll Giveaway.

One in 99 chances to win. A local radio station plays the song of the day and if your the 9th caller, you win a key to try to start the Harley. I'm still waiting on my 09 Fat Boy I order custom sheet metal for. All the parts are in so I'm just waiting on the sheet metal.

Anway I digress, :alien: Yesterday I heard them play the song of the day in the morning so I knew what it was. Rock And Roll Hoochie Koo

That was around 9:00am. Towards the end of the day I was traveling to my last job of the day. I heard them mention they hadn't played the song of the day. I thought great, I'm heading into a no cell zone and they'll play it. Now mind you, I've never tried to win before. I did the job and forgot all about it and was driving back into the plant building. I was running late and while driving I suddenly realized I was singing along with the damn song on the radio.

    :busted:

I grabbed my cell, contact list, WZXR hit send, it rang which shocked me and all of a sudden " CONGRATULATIONS, your caller number 9!".

Fantastic I said. We had a conversation and then I hung up. DUMB ASS! When the song ended they played our conversation on the radio. I had to laugh, a coworker called me and said, your suppose to be working.

When I arrived at the plant building the DJ came on the radio and said, Congratulations again to Rob _________ and hey Rob, call us back I need some information. DUMB ASS! :d

How it works is, on June 13 there is an all day bash at a local Harley dealer. (not the one I ordered from) And live on the air they try keys all day along with music, party, food etc...etc...

The prizes are a 09 Harley Ultra Glide, 1 carat worth of diamonds, laisik eye surgery plus more. About $20,000 worth of prizes.

So in closing, I have a 1 in 99 chance in winning. :d

    Congratulations!!

Looks like the "busted" sign needs to go after the part where you're co-worker said you were supposed to be working though! :d

Awesome, man! Wish I would still listen to local radio (have Sirius now), but when I did, it was always wzxr. Would have loved to hear the conversation, lol. Congrats, though, man! That promotion seems to really be popular year in and year out (can you blame them?).

    Thanks guys, thanks Pat,

made a mistake (doh!) It's not an Ultra, it's a Dyna Superglide, $11,999.00

Two things will happen if I'm lucky enough. 1. I'll sell it outright, probably pretty cheap. 2. I'll trade it on a Sportster for the wife. She's interested in riding and if she can't handle the Superglide, I'll get her something else. We're currently looking at a little Suzuki 250 that a friend (Lisa) has.

Funny this came up. I was at the dealer yesterday checking on my bike (new handlebars) and ran into the new owners of the Sportster I traded in for the Roadking.

The new owner is a gal about the same size as my GF and she loves the bike. The bike was a 1200 Low that I had modified.... new seat, forward controls, stage 1 kit and dyno tuned. Her husband wants her to get a Dyna but she says she's happy with her bike and wants to keep it.

My GF now drives the Roadking but I'm having it modified as well. It already has been stage 1'd and dyno tuned and now I'm adding the rear lowering kit and the police bike handlebars. That should make it almost a custom fit for her.

Both my GF and this other gal are about the same height... 5' 4". My experience has told me that for women new to motorcycles, their main concern is bulk and weight. Once they gain experience riding, they can easier handle the bigger bikes. From this stand point, the Sportster makes a great starter bike as it weighs at least 160 lbs less than a Softail and about 240 lbs than the RK. Besides that, the Sportster can also be lowered for a more custom fit. One thing I feel the same about is..... get the 1200. The 1200 low weighed 3 lbs less than the 883 low for some reason so there is no difference in weight. I feel that the 1200 is a better engine.

    Hey thanks Greg.

Of course all this is mute if I don't win but I'll take 1 in 99 odds. Not great, better than most. LOL

Anyway, it'll be a very fun day. Food, bikes, women, bikini bike wash, music and a chance to win $20,000 in prizes. I've already won.
