After hunting exclusively with my lone wolf and sticks for two seasons, hanging a regular stand with stick ladders....sucks.

Had one place I wanted a permanent set up, so I bought a cheap(er) set to leave up.

The get what you pay for saying...=truth.

I like to have a few permanent trees set as well....Nothing comes close to that batwing cause the right trees are never straight.

I know, that was one of the worst parts. Once I got up, I really missed the self leveling and the bat wing.

This will be the first time I will be using a stand and sticks. I got a Muddy hang on and will be purchasing some sticks in a couple of weeks. How long did it take you guys to get comfortable using sticks and a hang on?

I bought two Millenium 100's to try this year. It seems the older I get the more comfortable I have to be..........lol

Shouldn't take to long Brett it will prolly feel weird at first and take a little longer, but you will get faster over time.

The biggest difference for me is clean up time, that always seems to take longer. But the advantage is worth it!

I love my lone wolf alpha and sticks, but I also love having a stand already hung so I can just jump in it for a short hunt after work without having to do all the work.

So true! I tried using a 20' ladder stick and an old hang on in a "maybe" spot a few weeks ago and was thinking the whole time..wow this sucks. So glad I made the investment on lone wolf sticks and stands, one of the best decisions I've made.

I'm surprised that so many are saying they like a LW and sticks better than a stand and ladder sticks already set up? I love my LW and sticks but I'll take a ladder stick and $50 hang on already set up any day over having to fight hanging a LW...in the dark.

It all depends how you hunt.

Not already set up, it's the fact of setting up regular stick ladders and cheap hangons.
