There's a lot of talk about tree stands on all forums I visit. Most people want to know what stands actually weigh. I decided to weigh all of my stands and here are the results. By the way this is on a scale at work that gets calibrated once a month.I hope this helps someone make a decision.

The first and was my Lone Wolf hand climber. This stand is as shipped from the factory except I put a Hunt Comfort seat on it and padded Lonewolf backpack straps. It weighed in at 18 pounds even

The next stand I weighed is my Lonewolf sit and Climb. It has a Hazmore seat on it and foot rests. This stand weighed in at 18.5 pounds.

The last tree stand that I weighed was my Tree Walker. This is the pro mag version but I did remove the gun rest. This stand weighed in at 22 pounds even.

I hope this helps someone make a decision. I love my tree walker when I am going to hunt all day and need lots of comfort. However Lonewolf is the only one that the weights seem to correspond with what they publish on their website. Every other stand I have weighed has been more than published including summit.

Haaaaa! I just did this the other day. I let a friend borrow my LW setup so I used some Muddy sticks and a Millennium stand. The sucker was heavy! I walked just over a half mile and I was wore out.... After the hunt I stopped in and picked up my LW. This now had my curiosity so I weighed them.

My Lone Wolf setup weighs 23 Lbs. Alpha II + 4 LW sticks

So I weighed 5 muddy sticks VS . 4 LW sticks. I figured this was the best comparison being it take 5 Muddys to get to approximately the same height as 4 LW. The weight wasn't even close. The Muddy's are far heavier. In fact, 4 Muddy sticks are heavier then 4 LW sticks.

Weight is the most important factor to me. All backpackers know that ounces quickly turn into pounds. I will never use anything but LW stands and sticks again unless a company comes out with something lighter.... :p
