...but, alas, Favre watch has begun, the 8th edition :D http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5150940 I say he comes back, and puts up similiar but not quite as amazing numbers, and they lose in the 2nd round of the playoffs to my Packers... KARMA.
First story on ESPN.com once again... I love the man, but swear he could slam his thumb in a door and get the top spot.
Had to throw it in This is madness: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=112 I cant even begin to digest what Favre did last year. That may be the single greatest season a QB has ever had, given the circumstance, age, injury...all the factors combined. Madness. Theres no way he hangs it up now. No way.
This is exactly what Favre needs to play another season, now he has an excuse to not do training camp. I'm willing to bet that he comes back but needs the majority of training camp for his angle to rest and recover, but be back in playing shape right at the beginning of the season. Either that or he reports to training camp late but only does throwing exercises, nothing physical.
I find it super comical that all GB fans hate him now. lol. I love when I see posts, and have conversations like this, they get so pissed... Greatness breeds hate, hell i "hated" the guy when he wasn't on our side too
he does need to hang it up, the more he plays these mind games the more fans he is going to lose! he's beating himself up mentally and physically!
I admire him, but he needs to be true with his decisions, you either are gonna 100%play or not, why take the chance of ending a great career with injury or something else going bad. He is a legend I would hate to see some of his glory be taken away because of stupid decisions.
