I just got bit by the bowhunting bug in a bad way. I guess the end of turkey season and starting a new job, I long for the woods.

I don't think I have to ask who is with me here...

I'm definitely excited for this coming season. We cut timber on my family land so I'm anxious to see how that effects the deer movement. I also found some killer spots on a public tract that I can't wait to hunt. I also hope to get my 7 year old his first deer. Yeah, I'm ready!

same here brotha... takin my 8yr old out again this year for his first down in AL... last year he passed on a gorgeous 6pt, i was terribly proud of him for that cuz he looked over at me and said "Dad, i'm gonna let him go for next year, maybe he'll be an 8 next season" and when he passed on a small 8 he told me he was going to wait on that one as well cuz he had a pretty rack just needed to get bigger... I think the kid believes he's gonna bag a 140" for his first buck... I'd like to see him bag something close to 100 for his first, that would be awesome for him...

Honestly, it really hasn't bit me at all yet. I have a camera out, but thats about it for me, there is still way too much trout fishing and stream smallmouth fishing to do along with some groundhog hunting. By the end of July it will be a different story!

I'd love to do some smallie fishing Buckmagnet but it rains every 4 or 5 days and makes the stream high and muddy on the weekend. Hasn't been normal level for about 1.5 months. Trying to go this sunday but the stream will be up some and off color. Been putting the fish in a funky mood and hard to catch.

I was doing alright, and although I have no plans to rush my summer away since I'm off, I'm starting to get the itch again. Probably because I've been away from it for a while now (haven't even shot my bow since March).
