I currently have a Darton as50. i think its a beginner model of a bow but that would fit because its my first. i want to upgrade. i really like my Darton but it feels very heavy when compared to bow tech and hoyt. what bow do you guys think would be a good one to buy for shooting blacktail, coyotes, and geese?
never heard of them. do they sell at ****s or sportsmans or do you have to go to a dealer like darton? what model would you suggest?
go to Elite Archery web site and search "dealers" and the model I just bought is the "Hunter", there are quite a few Elite shooters here, VERY SMOOTH bow !
is darton a good brand in your opinion. i like to choose bands and stick with them, i bought a darton because a friend of mine said they were good but that's the only reason i chose darton
Shoot as many brands as you can, all the new bows are good bows, dont pick a bow because you are a fan of that brand, pick the bow YOU like the best. Everyone will like something different. But to answer your question, yes, Darton makes great bows, but so does everyone else, SHOOT THEM ALL !!! then pick one.
a few must trys are hoyt maxxis 31 - awesome mathews z7,z7x - awesome hoyt alphamax 35 elite bows - awesome bow tech invasion and the destroyers diamond iceman paker trailblazer ....................................................Here are all the brands off the top of my head quest darton elite mathews hoyt bow tech/diamond pse bear redhead parker reflex/hoyt rytera there are many more but shoot them all
First, What are you willing to spend, and what do you want in a bow Second, Search bow companies and find bows offered in your price range Third, Make a list of bows that interest you and find dealers in your area Finally(and most important), shoot all the bows and find the one that YOU fall in love with then make it yours!!!
i really like my mathews reezen 6.5 but i think my next one will be a hoyt maxxis or bowtech invasion
You need to let us know what price range you are looking at, first. Your first bow is a budget bow, so that brings up the question of whether you are in the same financial situation or if you have the money to spend on a more expensive rig ($500? $700? $900?) That will influence our answers. Personally, I would recommend a Maitland Retribution or a New Breed Archery bow (Nemesis or Genetix), but they might be completely out of your price range. Quest and Elite make great bows, and Quest even has a budget bow that appears to be quite good. If you are left handed, I know exactly what bow you should consider.
Make sure you try a Parker Inferno it's a great bow for the money. They come with a lifetime warranty and I have not needed to try customer service so I can't comment. There is a youtube of the bow and a guy who goes through the features more for instructional on bow components. Good luck on your search.
I been shooting the same Mathews bow for ten yrs. lots of good bows out there, it just comes down to how it feels to you.
Try Mission The Mission Bow company is the Diamond to Bowtech. I have been looking for a new bow and found Mission through a friend. Great looking bows at a reasonable price. Just as others have stated go to your local archery shop and shoot as many as you can to find the perfect one for you. Don't limit yourself on price but go with what fits you.
I will add two more to that list. Forge Ventilator Martin Cheetah (if you want a quality "economy bow")
