I'll take 2000-2008 over 2008-2012 anyday. At least in from 2000-2008 I had a stable job and could count on know I'd be working the next day/week/year.

Hell.I'd take Jimmy carter over what we've got now and I barely remember Carter being president.

Bank deregulation etc, that exploded during 2000-2008 was put in place by the prior administration. The facts can be found in the Congressional Record. The Dems sponsored and passed the bills that crashed the economy.

I thought we were not supposed to blaim previous administrations for current problems...I guess thats only ok if you are a Republican?

Surely Bush should have been able to fix the countries problems in 8 yrs if Obama is expected to do it in 3 though right?

I'm honesly not a fan of either of these presidents. But, I really don't see how Bush was BETTER in any way?

What's even worse was that some of the people on the "Hill," made and effort to slowing the massive snowball that demolished our economy, and were stopped by the same people that are now running (or maybe ruining) this country. There were attempts to look into Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac back in 2004 and 2005, and the likes of John Kerry, John Conyers, Maxine Watters, and Barnie Frank amongst others shot them down. Had banks been making realistic and appropriate loans. I know I what I was approved for, and what I could really afford, and the numbers weren't even close.

As for the D's and the R's, I likewise don't particularly care for either group as neither of them represents ME, but I know I lean a lot closer to the R's than the D's, as I'm an extreme NEO-Conservative in the eyes of most, and very proud of it.

I have never voted. This time, I will. What will be my party? Independent. Why? I don't feel limiting our selves to one or the other is healthy for our country. Look at what has happened doing it that way so far. I believe we have been ignorant and a majority probably will continue to be. Before I vote, I will know a little more about the people that I want to vote for than the letter beside their names. I personally feel we should get rid of parties and people would be more likely to vote on what they believe in. I believe we need change. Not Obama change but, a real change. We can't get any different results if we continue to have the same input.

I just cannot understand why people cannot see as a whole that Ron Paul needs to be Americas next President. It seriously confuses me. Ron Paul and his beliefes are dependable and concrete and the change this country is in dire need of yet people want to vote for these younger show boating fellas cause they "look nice on camera" when not one of them has the sand it takes to make the changes our country is thirsting for.

Ron Paul???? Really????? Foreign Policy mean anything at all to you?
I'm going Tea Party for the time being in their beliefs anyway. And they arn't R or D but lean more towards R.

You make my point perfectly. You DONT hear about who put the failed policies in place. The media never reports it and the Dems dont take ownership of it.

I have to agree with this. I love some of his concepts, but his take on foreign policy is scary.
