Appreciate the support from all of you, I really do. Found out today the mass is in the Right Atrium and they did locate an adnexal mass. Good news is that this may be isolated and seperate from the cardiac tumor. Most Adnexal masses are benign, but not always.

I appreciate the prayers, even though it was not the news I was seeking, I still see some positive signs and this may very well be a seperate issue. The size of it is 2.4cm, which is relatively small.

Tomorrow night I am heading down to hang out, go to dinner and do some of the simple things we did so long ago. Our appt is Friday so I will update you guys (& gals) then on what the next step is.

God Bless to all of you
    Rob

Well thought I would provide a little update....

Today we had an appt with the Cardiologist which he indicated to us that the mass is growing outside of the heart (3rd different story) near the Right Ventricle. The CT Scan of the abdomen/pelvic did show a cyst of 2.4cm, but they felt this wasn't an issue at this time or a need to have a bioposy performed.

From what I read, and I don't want to read to far into it, primary cardiac tumors are 77% benign...the hospital that she was using doesn't have a cardiovascular surgeon, so rather than have the bioposy performed there, and then be referred on, we decided to have her records and information transferred to a local hospital here who has a great team of these CV surgeons..!! During this time mom will reside with my wife and I.

We still need to find out if this is a potential malignant growth, but at least this CV Team here will bioposy, remove and follow up with her...while having her close by.

I appreciate all the prayers and we are not out of the woods by any means, but wanted to give to all an update.

    Thanks again for your time
    Rob (elkhuntinut)

Thats some pretty good news Bro! Having your mom up here will give you a little peace of mind anyway. We do have some of the best CV people in the country right here in Erie. Dr. Ferraro comes to mind.

Anyway like I said call me if you need anything. I can get your stands up or check cameras, whatever you need. Anything I can do to help you spend that time with your mom

You have my prayers. I know how tough it is, I was sitting at bedside with both my mom and dad when they passed away after long hard fights. I hope your mom will be around quite a while longer.

    Doug,

If you would ever be so kind to hang a stand near where your aviator pic was taken that would be great !!!:D
