Well, lets not get crazy. They may not be a beast, but everyone knows if KY (or insert any SEC team) was in the Big Ten they would win it every year.
NO!!! You cannot take what a few homer fans say and blanket the rest of us football fans. I am an Alabama fan first and could care less who plays from the SEC if we dont...(talking championships of course). Only time I bring conference up is when they want to put the likes of Boise and TCU (or any non BCS school) in there when they have played a practice schedule all year. The bias goes both ways, Bama looses a regular season game for the first time since 07 and here comes the over rated, I told you so's...hell how long did they expect a team to go without a loss. The principle at my wifes school is an tOSU grad, she was running around last week going did anyone see the polls, I missed who was number 1 etc...my nephew works there as well and he is also a huge bama fan, he was speaking of how he cannot wait to joke on her that they lost to the 19th ranked team. I had to remind him SC was 19 when they beat us, you cannot go by the fact they were 10 this week. my point is I see what you are saying about the SEC bias, but that goes for the other side of the fence to. Not arguing, just discussing, thats all.
BSU's dean asked 2 years ago for ANY big name school to schedule them braska's pelini's reply " we cant justify playing teams that are not on the same level as we are" really? florida shut them down, OSU shut them down... i think that the problem i son one wants to play the broncos....
Yes. Really. What do you have to gain in playing teams you should always beat? Nothing. BSU could step up and play in a real conference, if they wanted to be taken seriously. Until they do that, they should just keep their mouths shut. It's like taunting a gorilla behind bars. You damn sure know you don't want him to get at you.....no matter what you say. Ask Germ about playing teams you SHOULD beat.
Thoughts on the game. Wisconsin played the game their way and OSU had little to say about it. After Wis scored the first two touchdowns the OSU defense was on the sidelines acting up slamming stuff around etc. No way to act and definitely no way to keep your head in the game. Special teams (return coverage) finally done tOSU in this year. Without that return it would have been a different game. (Not saying OSU would have won) The first adversary the D found this year and they react the wrong way. I don't mean any spite by this, but I am glad they lost. Now they can regroup and play better football. Despite the loss I did have a great weekend. I didn't hunt at all or or use online and dedicated the weekend to complete family time. We had great weather, sunny outside and 60 degrees. The little guy got to play in the leaves for the first time... He just loved running through piles taller than him Had a OSU party on Saturday night with some friends over, had a great time. We had some Pizza, chips and some apple pie. Also, had some woes as we watched the Wisconsin run game take what they wanted 7 yards at a time.
Auburn may just get a shot, Cam Newton is a freakin beast but as a team I still haven't been impressed enough to think they can run the table.....and to think, UK should have beat them the way both teams played that day. SEC West has 5 teams in the top 25, 3 in the top 8. Does anyone REALLY want to argue how tough they are? I mean seriously? They can put whoever they want in the title game, until they make a 8 team or more playoff series, the system is flawed and sucks. A one loss Bama would stomp all over 3/4 of the unbeatens left. Go Badgers for knockin off the buckeyes though, I was beginning to worry I was fixing to see yet another bad repeat of OSU getting a title shot :D
"OSU ranked #1 loses in conference to a ranked opponent and it shows how weak the Big Ten is. Alabama ranked #1 loses last week in conference to a ranked opponent and it shows how tough the SEC is" This is so contrary to logic, it’s hilarious! WOW…
Did the SEC expand to 25 teams? I didn't hear that news Top 25 SEC- 6 teams Big 12 -5 teams Big10- 4 teams and some contribtors with 3 teams, or less
So, which conference is the odds-on favorite to see 2 ranked teams square off? Didn't you hear? It's pretty simple math.
I'm glad you asked! In the real world, the SEC can have a maximum of 6 ranked teams, playing each other on 3 seperate fields. The Big 12 and Big 10 can have maximum of 4 ranked teams each, playing on 2 seperate fields, with one ranked Big 12 team hanging in "ranked opponent" limbo. So that's: 3 ranked vs. ranked games for the SEC 2 for the Big 12 2 for the Big 10 ....am I missing something horribly significant, here? Jeff, where did you go to college??? I need to know where not to send my daughters.
Happy to see the new math works, even in OH. On college.........I went to the one that whipped up on OSU every time we played them. You probably don't wanna send them, there. Conceded.
