Well I ain't feelin no bliss! I am feeling lighter in the pocket. Stepped out of the house today and without warming up, shot these two from 15 yards (good distance for me).

Feels good to make those first ones count. I stepped out of the house today to fire my first arrow in over two weeks. I estimated 34 ish yards put an arrow 2 inches to the right of the bull.....dead turkey.

After that I dialed both bows in to perfection, all so that I could film tomorrow and know that if a second bird comes.....he's a goner.:)

Ben, that is what I have been trying to do when I first step out to shoot. I really try to focus on those first two shots to make that I can perform even when I am tight. I then shoot about 6-8 shots from 3-4 yards to work on form, then move on to shooting from various distances.

Good luck tomorrow knocking down a turkey!

Thanks Brett, I know it's gonna feel great just being out. I've had a really stressful month and the last piece to my latest puzzle came in today about 3 hours ago. Tomorrow, hearing and feeling the woods and field wake up is gonna heal me....I just know it. God is good.

Ben I do agree my friend. I am not a turkey hunter yet some years I turkey hunt just to get out in the woods an hour before sun-up to let the woods wake me up. I need to take it all in to let my mind heal. Have a great time.

That's why I quit shooting for groups. I hang 6 targets on the bale at my range. I shoot a half a dozen arrows and pick them up. At home I shoot a half a dozen at six different places on my target.

The first Robinhood was kind of cool. Anything after that is just a waist of money.

Thanks Ed. It has taken me over a year and tens of thousands of shots with my recurve to finally feel average. I don't feel like I am missing that bad even on my worst shots. My range of shot error is slowly reducing, yet I still have A LOT of room for improvement.

    Thanks Hoyt.
