I thought the collared ones were the tame ones?

    Not to make light of a tragedy, but I wonder how much national attention this attracts now that the roles were reversed just one month later in the same park. You'd have thought Cecil and his brethren were golden retrievers after the onslaught of articles in July...

    You can be certain, if I was going to be tracking a Lion Pride, I would have a really big gun with lots of bullets. I would chalk this one up as natural selection.

    The lion was simply doing what was natural for a lion, finding weak prey and killing it. If a lion had thumbs they would be wearing human pelts as trophies.

    Haha I wouldn't go that far. Humans are top dogs on this rock for far more reasons than opposable thumbs. But I agree, people don't realize that animals in the wild in Africa are far different than the local zoo.
