I got permission to hunt a piece of property because the landowner had deer attacking his garden and bird feeders and because he was scared of guns and I shot bow only. well I showed up today to clear shooting lanes and to freshen up a mineral site when I noticed he ahd actually put up a deer feeder slinging corn everywere. I havent talked him yet but what the heck is this guy thinking?

Maybe he is hoping the corn will keep them away from his flowers.

I talked to ther owner last night and now I understand, He had to move his mother n law in and she loves the deer so to keep her happy he placed the feeder where she could watch it from her bedroom window and back porch. He also asked if I could use the back gate and not let his in law find out that I was thinning the herd. He said with her watching the deer in the evenings maybe he can actually watch a football game. I guess I mis judged the guy.

lol, gotta love the mother-in-law tricks :D

Sounds like you should get in the travel corridor between the bedding area and the feeder :D

I can see it now a deer running towards the house while the mother in law is watching with an arrow sticking out of it. Wonder how much football would get watched then?

could get hairy quickly - oh look at the deer - stumbles and falls - have to invest in a ninja suit so you can retrieve after dark
