This is a 3 arrow group at 60yards.

I'm waiting on my buddy to get here, so, I figured I'd throw a few arrows. 1st group at 60. Didn't destroy any nocks, but, did cut a vane off.

Edit: This was shot with my hunting rig. Bowtech Assassin. Pin sight, no magnification.

Yea, I agree. Once I started to put emphasis on 80 and 100 yard shooting, 60yards became very easy...It was actually kind of freaky how quickly it happened.

    Thanks man !!

If you can shoot like that at 60 yards why not enter some shooting competitions and make some cash?

Actually, I'm asked this, very often.

Over the winter, I did a fair amount of shooting at the indoor range, located within our local archery shop. A few of the target shooters there keep telling me to buy a target bow and shoot some competition.

I've considered it, but, shooting, for me, is a stress reliever. My "sport" is motocross. Not discounting the idea, but, we'll see what happens. I just like shocking people with my hunting bow, haha.

That would depend on the pro, I guess.

Some of the guys from the local archery shop, near me, are INSANELY skilled. When I can shoot like them, with their consistency, I'll be happy.

    Thanks for the compliments.

    Nice shooting...

Funny, when I hear "thunder chickens" I think VMM-263, had the best time of my life in a thunder chicken Osprey flying around Fallujah and landing in Ramadi in 07-08. What a machine!

Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (VMM-263) is a United States Marine Corps tiltrotor squadron consisting of MV-22B Osprey transport aircraft. The squadron, known as the "Thunder Chickens", is based at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina and falls under the command of Marine Aircraft Group 29 (MAG-29) and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (2nd MAW).

I don't know much about "scoring". I've just recently learned that there are different target sizes for various yardages. I guess I have my "on" days :)

    Wow, impressive!

I personally wouldn't shoot at a turkey that far - they dip and bobble too much for me.

    Good luck!

Great Shooting DT.. For those talking "Pros" there is a big difference between shooting 3 awesome arrows and shooting 60 in row. Yes the distance is 2/3 less but imagine you have 57 10's and need 3 more for your score...adrenaline is a &%$)& !

The top guys in the AA unlimited class at my range shoot 600's (perfect score) with a mid 50's X count. (Vegas Rd)
They are not "Pros" just great shop shooters.
