Don't be too harsh, I'm just curious. Of all the bows other than Bowtech, this one looks pretty good to me. Just curious if anyone has shot one or looked at them. Kelly
I think the site is Elitearchery.com or .net. They look pretty sweet and the thing most intriguing is the 8" brace height shooting 330 fps.
Well, someone go shoot the darn thing and give us some feedback. I found a dealer and am going to talk to him tomorrow. I'm itching to try it out.
Well...the itch got the best of me. I ordered one from Mike Carter in MO. You guys may know Mike from AT. Anyhow, he's going to get it in, replace the strings and cables with custom and set it up. Probably be here in three weeks. I'll post it up when it arrives.
Kyle shot one up in MN and loved it. I drool over that exact model, but in no way will I go shoot one, because I will end up taking it home when I dont need a new bow.
My shop has one, And I told him I wanted to shoot one when he got one set up. I told him I wasnt into buying one right now, I just wanted to shoot one. So hopefully they will set up a test model soon.
Kelly, I don't know if you have come across this thread over on AT but it should help increase your desire to get that Elite in!!! It starts way back early last year and Mike has basically updated it frequently as he continues to get bows done and tuned up. Enjoy!! I know I surely have! http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=457157&highlight=Crackers Out of all of the bows on that thread, I am really drawn to this color scheme.
I saw this post and had to reply..... I recently purchased the Z28 and love it. First I would like to state that I believe every bow company out there is producing good equipment. It all ends up being personal preference. That said over the past 12 months I have went through a lot of bows. I have owned the Mathews Drenalin 08, Bowtech Tribute 07, Bowtech Allegience 08, and Bowtech 101st 08, ISO Force Blade Runner 07, Elite Synergy XT 08, and as of recently the Elite Z28. I know it is a little excessive but I love archery and enjoy shooting different bows. I typically only have 2 bows at any given time and sell one before before purchasing another. If I didn't my wife would beat me. So here is the setup on my Z28 70lb, 28.5" draw length Ripcord rest Viper sights Victory 350 Arrows (weighing 404 to 406 grains) -this is the weight range from a dozen arrows. Chrono'd at 298 to 301 (5 shots) The draw is steady and even throughout. Actually it is probably the smoothest drawing "binary style" cam system I have shot (at 70lbs) The fit and finish is flawless. I love the bow and it will probably be around for a few seasons. Like I said before it is all about what fits any given person. However I would recommend shooting one.
It's here and set up... I got to fire a few right after work with all the goods attached. Man, I am actual quite impressed. First off, it is smooth. The draw is much smoother than my guardian and/or general, love that. I was able to pull back 70 as if it was 64 set on the bowtechs. No hand shock whatsoever. And the only thing I was really concerned about was how quiet the bow would be, but again very surprised. While not below the noise level on the general, it was quieter than my guardian. With Mike doing the preliminary tuning, I was shooting 1" groups at 20 right out of the box. I don't remember ever having such an easy time sighting in. I can not say how great Mike and his wife Gail were to work with. Just really good folks. Did I mention it is smoking fast? Anyhow, I got the 20 yard pin set and will continue to work my way down. Here is how I have her set up: Spot Hogg Hunter with wrapped pins, .19 pis, small diameter sight window Octane 7" stabilizer, with simms enhancer on end G5 Meta peep, 3/16 Limbdriver, with Crackers custom string 70lbs 27.5" draw I haven't chrono'd it yet, but it's up there. Here are some pics
It's You said it's smokin' fast, have you chronographed it? What weight arrows? The reason I asked is this is my first year with a compound and frankly I can't believe the ke coming out of it. 282 ft/sec - 512 grain arras (right at 90 ft lbs) BTW that's a sweet lookin' bow.
