Thanks everyone.. Sorry I didn't make it back here today, but didnt have much time at the house today... I will update tomorrow evening... Going in around 11 tomorrow with the tracking dog.... It is trained to retrieve "dead" and has been successful in the past..

It is an absolute jungle where this buck went... I guess that is how he has been able to stay around a few years.... I still feel like I had a good hit, but that he may have quartered a little to me at the shot... If so, may have only gotten on lung which is tough...

You'll find him with that dog. Sucks it's taking all this, but what a story it'll make when you tell it. Good luck tomorrow.

What the hell did you do, just bull-doze an entire corn field straight into the woods ?? :)

That's a slammer, for sure. Best of luck on the recovery; hope to see some photo of you and this monster, tomorrow !!

Seems fisheyyy... I think that if I shot an buck of this nature I would be taking off work or I would find time to look for him.. Where do ETHICS come into play in this situation..
    Hope this turns out well

Agree...very fishy! As far as ethics go, if he didnt find this deer by late morning, the meat was ruined. It obviously wasnt that great of a shot, but we've all been there. You bet my ass wouldn't have taken a rest to find this deer, despite the fact that its an awesome buck.
