I shot a Carbon Matrix today. Was not impressed.

Unless you know something I don't. What I do know is - I'm entitled to my opinion. If you don't like it, so be it.

You've been drinking the bowtech kool-aid for a long time. Hence - Your bias may vary. It's not hilarious (from you). It's expected.

From a guy a few know is a "Hoyt guy,"I can honestly say I didn't like the Carbon Matrix as far as the FEEL as much as I did the AM, but I'm not saying it's not a great bow, I'd have to shoot one a little more than a few times to really know. Most all bows will be GOOD SHOOTERS if you set them up right. I think Todd is spot on, my Ultratec I had was a great shooting bow, though it didn't feel as shock free as the Katera I just sold, it was a LOT more forgiving.....

    I haven't shot a D350 or D340 (yet) but in a few weeks I will have......

IMO,the AM 35 could the best hunting bow hoyt has ever produced so when comparing a bow to it,it would have to be something special.

I have not shot the Matrix because the one I played with was on 80# and I like my shoulder to stay where it is so I didn't pull it. I will say I loved the feel/weight as well as the balance.Beyond that,I could really care less.I would like to feel one at full draw but I doubt my opinion would change due to past experience with Hoyt.

And I expected you to give an assinine response to my post. Tell me Superman

do you practice being an abrasive jerk or does it just spew out of you naturally?

Drinking the Bowtech Kool Aid? I own a Carbon Matrix and a Destroyer. I think my post holds a little more credibility than your flx vibration (i can see it ) nonsense.

    Have a nice day

Dude....ALL I did was give my opinion on the bow. Obviously (understatement), your bias may vary. I don't begrudge you that. Rock on.

Since you own both, do you think the carbon matrix vibrates?

I love this bow, I have shot it a few times now RH. I can say for sure I could shoot this bow RH. It does have a little kick to it, but a few sims products and all is good.

My suggest is to shoot the bow again, and make sure it's the correct DL. When your shooting it focus on how well it holds. I can hold that bow on target all day with little effort.

Let me add it does not shoot 1100 dollars better than my Studd, or 1000 dollars better than my ROSS. If I had 1600 dollars to blow, I would make the purchase.

I agree 100%. Being a hunter only (no competition) I don't care what the bow feels like after I shoot it. In fact I don't feel anything from my bow when I'm hunting, not before, during or after the shot..too focused on the deer and making a good hit to even notice.

I did shoot the Carbon Matrix and not that I am giving a complete review but it wouldn't make me unload anything I have now to get one. Not saying it was bad, but agree with Germ on his statement.

Wow, how did this thread turn into a BowTech Destroyer thread? Oh, I read back...nevermind.

I'm not sure what the fascination is with having a bow be "dead in the hand" at the shot, especially in a shop with no stabilizer. Maybe this is because I had some bows that felt like joy buzzers back in the day and that's just the way it was.

I have not shot the Carbon Matrix but it is a very nice looking bow. With that said I was at the shop the other day and a guy called in and asked about it while I was waiting. I could tell that he asked "Is it worth $1600?" The guy at the shop said, "I don't know you have to come to the shop and shoot it and you tell me." That's probably about the best answer he could have given. Hopefully the technology will continue to advance and become more affordable. As it stands, I'm not terribly impressed with the CMs specs or price tag, so it's not for me.

I like the specs of the Matrix.Respectable ACCURATE/CONSERVATIVE speed rating, good a-a and brace.Good cam design as well as VERY well balanced and imo a very good weight for hunting.

The only thing I don't like about it is it isn't available on the shooter program.

I wouldn't say it vibrates any more than any other Hoyt bow, but it is louder at the shot than the destroyer. I was shooting it alot before I bought the Destroyer and really liked it alot. It shoots great at longer distances for me.Not sure if it is the longer ata or what but I noticed it was shooting well at 40 yards. I do think the price tag scares most everyone away from it. Like I said I was able to get one at a substantial discount.
