OK, it's done. Z7 will be here in 4 weeks. As for the Mission Eliminator, my brother is getting it. It will be his first bow and he will be entering the world that we all love. Can't wait until he get's into it.

    Monster isn't bad

I bought the monster this year and had great results. It is very forgiving once you get it dialed in and used to it. I found if you put the monkey tails on your string it is just as quiet as the single cams (actually, i believe Matthews is sending them on all the newly ordered Monsters as of last week). Actually, limb savers stuffed between each set of dual limbs (much like Hoyt's factory setup) makes the monster as quiet as any bow on the market.

The only catch with the Monster is that added fps comes at a second hurdle at the end of your draw. I am a large fella so it does not really effect me, but I can see how this would run other enthusiast away . . . especially considering the smooth draw of the Z7, new bear attack, and all of the Hoyts. But, don't think for one second the Monster isn't just as good as any other bow after that second hurdle of a draw. The question is just whether that second hurdle is worth the added fps.

My Monster is 29.5" with 69.5lbs shooting aramid kv 350 w/ 125 grain tips cut at 28.5" giving me roughly 440. These arrows are traveling 310 fps.

I set up a Z7 29" with 73lbs shooting same arrows and they traveled just under 300 fps (i think the consistent number was 295ish getting up to 298).

Now the Z7 at 3.5 more lbs was MUCH EASIER and smoother to pull back. TO ME, It probably feels the same to pull back as my monster set at 60 lbs.

The question remains whether 10 - 15 fps is worth that second hurdle. I don't mind it, but I think I would have bought the Z7 if i did it over again. I may still . . .

I just recently took posession of a new bow after shooting a bunch of different bows side by side. I picked the monster m7. The speed is definetly cool, its smooth and was definetly quiet. I picked it over the z7, destroyer, alphaburner, alfamax, maxis and dream season as well as the xforce..oh and the omen (didn't like the draw at all).
Granted its really hard to bye a bad bow these days....i chose the monster!!

I own both the Drenalin and a Monster 6. I really like the Monster and it's not as bad as some people let on. It's not extremely loud and it's not horrible on forgiveness. With the string stop the 6" BH doesn't bother me and did I say it is fast?:D If you're referring to the Monster 7(7"BH), I hear it is a very forgiving bow and alot smoother than the M6.

The down side on the Monster is it is kind of heavy and bulky. The Drenalin is much better suited for the hunt. However I plan on hunting with the Monster this season and I really think it's what you're used to. Once you shot a bow for so long everything else always seems awkward.

With that said, I like em both!:D

I own a new z7 30/70 shooting a flatline 340 arrows it shoots 307 with a 360 grain arrow. with a loaded string and w/b rest. very nice shock free and quite

the other day my local shop got a bowtech dealership and the same day,, shot the destroyer 340 and 350. The 340 is the best bow i shot this year, but i wanted a hot speed bow so i got a new 350 30/70 draw and it is wow fast using the same arrow.. 360 grain flatliner arrow out of the box with zero tuning 338.4 and 338.5 for three arrows. very nice back wall, cant wait to get it tuned and shoot it some next week.
I bought the first bowtech they sold.
