Im stoked so I had to post this!I just got back from scouting out some new land I have to hunt next season.A friend of mine just purchased 320 acres in Earlville IL just South of Lake Shabbona with woods,ponds,creeks,corn/soy fields and prairies all on and going through the property.Im stoked to hunt this land next season after seeing 40 deer(no antlers on any of them) 2 turkeys and 1 coyote today. My friend says that it is normal to see up to 60 to 80 deer a day walking in the yard by the house on property and eating his ornamental trees and nuts from the Walnut trees.I found several nice rub lines today while hiking with tons of great stand trees. With the 2 1/2 feet snow on the ground I can see all there travel routes easily. My friend plans on turning the prairies into battlefields for Medieval times re enactments(he's a D&D nerd)and other events like that.I will try and get some of you guys/gals on here to go out and hunt with me there next year it should be awesome.
You are invited for sure!He wants us to take unlimited amounts of does.I am bringing the land owners brother with me to your ice fishing party.
Thanks T!!You know your welcome to hunt there too.But you would have to pay IL's outrageous NR tag price. Here is a couple of aerial pics of property.
If I can get permission on this piece that is closer to home I might just get a out of state license. Right now with my current financial situation it might still not happen. But I thank you for the offer. T
It is written law (I think) that teammates are immediately reserved the hottest of the hot spots in a situation like this. Don't bother looking that law up either..........TRUST ME!!!.......that is word for word Alphabetical order will be used of course
I believe that has to be written somewhere!Come to IL next season Atlas and you can pick the spot you want to hunt.
Mechdoc, congrats on that score. That satelite image shows a pretty sweet set up. Man if you have the place to yourself, consider your self in heaven. good luck. No better feeling than scoring on something like that.
Congrats on the land! Sounds like it has about everything the deer need within the 100 acres. Hope you like it and have some success!
If I could ever make it out that way I could bring my Righteous Bow of Justice, it has a +5 to stealth and +3 to speed. It also does +6 additional damage to Cervidae creatures! Ok, ok.... I may have spent a fair amount of time as a kid playing D&D ... NERD!!!... who said that?!?!
Lmao Fitz:d !!You would get along with the property owners great!!You are only a nerd if your 40+ and still playing.
