Getting sent home from school without knowing why and learning of John Kennedy's death when I got home. Seeing my mother holding herself up with the ironing board where she had been ironing clothes when the news broke while uncontrollably sobbing and not quite fully fathoming at that time why she was so shaken, will forever be ingrained in my brain.

Imagine this country if he had been able to fulfill his terms….. one can only dream. We lost a good one that day.

I was laid up yesterday after a procedure so I was watching that special on him on the History channel. Some of the footage they had, I never saw before. It took me back watching the reaction of the public to the news broadcasters first announcements that he was pronounced dead. Couldn't even imagine.
