No, for sure it will not kill the Iphone, but the Galaxy S3 is a great phone that competes well in all categories. And actually has a slight edge for the time being in technology. They have been very difficult to keep in stock and will out pace the Iphone for a while at least.

As far as the camera goes, image quality may be similar. But the Galaxy features are tough to beat. 20 shot burst, best shot selection, settings, etc, etc,.

It is now the safest device on the market for using private information such as business info., or credit card/banking info etc.

There will likely always be Ford and Chevy and the phones will go the same way. To each his own. I am not saying that the Galaxy S3 is the best phone for everyone, but it definitely deserves some attention. You need to at least kick the tires.

I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII, an I'll be honest, I can't find a single thing about the Iphone that I prefer other than it will fit in my pocket better, as can be seen below. An Iphone 4, Samsung Galaxy SIII and a Samsung Galaxy Note. That I phone is so "Cute" L:lol:

First, you can access files in the cloud, but it will eat at your data allowance pretty quickly if you're not fortunate enough to have unlimited. Second, you can definitely get a 64 GB iPhone, but you'll pay an extra $200 for it! Plus, if you start out with a 16 GB and decide it's not enough storage, you're out of luck! On the S3 if you don't have enough storage, jus go get an SD card. Also, they sell a 32 GB version for $50 more than the 16 GB version that when paired with a 32 GB sd card will give you the 64 GB capacity for a lot less than what Apple charges for 64 GB iPhones.

Devil's Advocate back at you! :D

Customer support is always free with the Samsung. Last I knew, you had to pay for customer support with the Iphone after a short time. Just something else to consider.

Also, Justin, as far as battery life goes; I have had a few Samsung smart phones and had no issues unless I left the wi-fi feature on all the time. You should turn off the wi-fi and even the GPS if you arent using those features at the time and the battery will last much longer. Just an FYI for everyone.

So now that you've determined that you can't actually get more storage space on the Galaxy S3, tell me again why you need more than 64 GB of storage on your phone? :poke:

With the prevelance of wi-fi in today's world, having unlimited data plans isn't quite as necessary as it used to be. People spend the majority of their time at home and at work. While at work, we're usually working and not downloading massive quantities of data on our phones. Most folks have wi-fi at home, since it generally comes built into your ISP's router. So in your drive from work to home, or any running around you might be doing, what are these huge files you'll need to pull from the cloud and burn up your data plan?

Not saying I'm right and everyone else is wrong - just asking questions that a lot of people don't always think about.

One more thing I just thought of, its more of an annoyance than a deal breaker but I use opera mini as my browser on my phone. With my former galaxy the text would always reformat to fit the size of my screen so that I wouldn't have to scroll left to right to read webpages. My iphone does not, although maybe that's just a opera issue, not an iphone.

Does anyone use a browser on the iphone that does reformat?

90% of smartphone and tablet device users are sucking on the Apple nipple, wether they know it or not.

    Apple > everyone else

    Just the way it is.

As a developer, you hit the nail on the head for me. That is why I try to stay away from Android. It reminds me of developing web pages for every freaking browser available. The JS can get dirty quick.

I can tell you the Initial issue android had was mainly due to the base system code code is java. Java in inherently slow in comparison to other object oriented languages, for instance c++. So the hardware has gotten faster for mobile phones over the years, this is why you have seen a big increase of speed on the android. At the end of the day it is still java based.

I have never owned an android device, but have tested many apps on them. Matter of fact, I wrote an app for android prior to the first phone being released. I was in the the T-Mobile store every day testing that app.

Sorry for the long - boring ramble.

Go for the iPhone, the phones don't really slow down!

    Mike
