I would like to help but I am lucky if I can dress myself without looking like a clown costume. You do NOT want design tips from me.

This coming from a guy that has a avatar with a sumo wrestler high jumping on skies.

I suck at this stuff too for the most part. My wife picks everything out.

I would go with a cooler gray over the tan. I don't think my dad's tan looks bad per say, but it doesn't look great. Wood has so many warm tones, that anything on the cooler side contrasts well.

Something like Behr's Sandstone Cove, or White Clay would be great IMO.

I like the white walls. It sets off the wood very nicely.

Keep in mind that when you move in furniture, throw rugs, etc., it will take the edge off the brightness you're seeing now.

My wife and I are on the same page. We both really liked it then we both have second thoughts. I think indecisive is the word.

The good thing about paint is that it is cheap and easy to change

X2. Have fun and experiment with it. What about a lighter green on one wall and an off white of the others? Do some playing.

My preference would have been for the woodwork a little darker stain.
