    That 70" for $1500 actually isn't bad price considering when we bought our house 12 years ago I saved a long time to buy our 55" rear projection tv for $2200. It now sits in the unfinished basement as storage. Wish I had that $$ back.

    I bought one of the original hd tv for 1700.(not even a flat screen) Had issues with it and returned it. Took that 1700 and put it on a 34" hd 480i flat screen tv. Doesn't even have hdmi hookups and cost 2400.


    The tv I have now is a 55" vizio that cost over 2000 and you can get a better model for around 700 now.


    The early models will always be high in cost. If it's good technology, it will trickle down.

    I bought a 47" LG LED with the Tru Motion or whatever it is they call it... High refresh rate... super smooth, clear, and fluid picture. I paid like $450 for it last Christmas. I'm very pleased with it!!
