I ran out of Veni steaks and chops tonight...:bash: I shot 4 deer this last season and figured 2 deer to my freezer would get me to this coming season, man I was wrong!! I guess the Veni bacon will have to do for the next 3 1/2 months.:bash:

Any of you guys ever had this problem??

We are about out of burger (maybe 4 lbs left), but still have a good bit of other cuts left.

Yea for me, the ground meat for burgers, chili, stuffed peppers, tacos, etc.. goes WAY too fast. My little brother and I were fortunate to take a few extra does off the farm last fall, so I'm actually thinking the meat will last up until this deer season for once.

If for some reason you happen to be in the SE Indiana/SW Ohio area this summer, feel free to pm me and I'll give you directions to pick up a roast and some steaks:d ..I know what it feels like to run out of meat before summer even gets here:cry:

Yeah I had a big urge to be in a treestand yesterday. I think it was the unusually cool morning we had here in NY. Walked outside and it had that aaahhhhhhhhhhhhh fall/deer season feeling and smell to it. It got my blood going. That and I ate my last backstrap the other day lol.

I felt the need last night. It felt like late October and I was missing something. For the problem of running out of veni 3 deer for me been out for a month but if you go shoot a pig that adds to your fun and your freezer.

I used to get so excited for deer season that I would tire myself out before the season even started. I now have to suppress my excitement in order to conserve my mental energy. I just tell myself its no big deal that the season is starting..but all the while I am a bundle of excitement inside!

I'm anxious too, it'll be a different type of season for me, lost the private land we hunted on for the last 5 years but have some other things in the works... including a paid hunt my wife bought me for my birthday  But I gotta lot work to do this summer before I can really get excited about hunting season.

I can't remember the last time I ran out of meat. Closest I've come was during an extended power loss I took my remaining stash to my sister's place and just left them have it. I had to go a month or so without deer meat, but that's it.

Thanks for the offer, man. I live in Wisconsin, so that would be quite the drive. I should survive, but it is going to be hard no grillin' any veni this summer.
