My old release has about a half mile of travel in the trigger, takes it forever to finaly let loose, time for an upgrade...I want one thats more like a good trigger on a rifle, no pre travel & breaks like glass. rather have a hand held VS strap on.

    Any food for thought ??

I know you said you prefer a hand held...I personally love my tru ball outlaw it has a very crisp trigger, it has adjustable length for your finger length simply by untying a knot adjusting the string and retying it. It has the buckle strap so you can take it off and on silently and is very comfortable... just my 2 cents

    Didn't read last sentence. I wouldn't want a strap on either.:D

Same answer, carter has great triggers on their hand helds as well. You can get a few models with the ITS system.

I would check out Carter. I shoot a Carter Chocolate Lite and love it. Travel is adjustable as well as many different spring weights. Its available in a 3 and 4 finger...They have a bunch of other awesome releases too. It all comes down to preference in the end. I'd also try to shoot a couple different ones if you can. I shot a few friends releases firsts and a couple guys in my 3d league let me try the ones they liked as well and I came up with liking the Chocolate Lite the best for me.
