Here's the skinny. While out making a youtube video shooting my bow last week. My Truefire release creeped and I sent an arrow bouncing off the ground. So thinking it was me I continued shooting no more trouble...until my 5th shot.

The release creeped again. Only I was near full draw the arrow went sailing into oblivion and my right fist into my mouth busting my lip. Yes it's all on camera. And hell no it'll never see the light of day nor youtube.

So now I need some feedback for a new release. I like the caliper style releases so please point me in the right direction..ummm I think spending over $60 may be to much, but any suggestion would be helpful.

    thanks

I been shooting Scoot releases for years and years...never had an issue. Right now I am shooting the shark. You can get them on ebay or a host of other places on line and you wont play much more then 50 shipped...

You get what you pay for. I busted a lip once too. (I think that that release is still in orbit!) I've been shooting a Carter Quickie 1 for several years now and am very happy with it. I like the hook style release especially for hunting. I have a bunch of releases but I keep grabbing one of my Quickies for hunting and targets if I'm serious. (about $85 on ebay)

The older Scott caliper releases would sometimes allow the loop to slip through the jaws. But most single sided or loop specific releases should be fine. I really like the tru ball short and sweet II. let us see the video and you might get a release sent to you. Lol
