I just had a co-worker stop by and somehow the subject of deer hunting came up. He lives in Mississippi and has around 40 acres of woods/pasture. He said, and I quote: "I wish someone would come and kill the deer that keep eating my peas."

How long do you think it took me to volunteer to help with the problem? :D

It's strange to go from losing my home hunting place to having Ohio and Mississippi to hunt.

Yes, actually. I told him that one person wouldn't have a huge impact on his deer population. I've known him for a while so he trusts me and I assured him that anyone I brought would be someone I could trust to not turn around and show up with thier friends who would in turn show up with their friends. We all know how that ends up.

As I get more details I'll keep you posted.

The trip would be about an hour and a half from my house which is easy. The hard part is the $300 non-resident Mississippi tag. Now, by itself that's not too bad, but when I add that to my $136 TN Sportsman's License, my $225 Missouri tag, my $165 Ohio tag and my $300 Arkansas tag, I'm starting to approach the point where it hurts a little. :)

Plus another 400 bucks or more if one of them or more turn out to be a wall hanger/s for you. I'm just glad one of us is independently wealthy . I'm pullin' for ya up here LC!
