I originally got this to add a few B-roll clips to some of my videos. Turns out this thing is crazy fun to fly. I put together some clips timed with music. Turned out pretty good!

Very cool. I'm still getting the hang of flying my Mavic Pro.
Looks like you've got yours figured out

Yeah, I'm loving flying mine. My next step is 2d & 3d mapping of my hunting areas :tu:

Have you done the 360 degree photos with it yet?

Truthfully, I'm not sure about what you are calling a 360* photo. I did hear that the company that makes this drone(Autel Robotics) is working on a 360* camera. They are also working on a FLIR Duo camera.

I've actually only ever taken a few photos with it. I do mostly video. It will shoot 4k but my laptop can't handle it.

    Which drone do you have?

It's where the drone hovers above and takes a series of panoramic images that when viewed through your phone it's like your there and anyway you move your phone you see what's in that location. If that made any sense

I haven't tried it yet but I want to.

I have the Autel X Star Premium. I'm not sure if it does that. I think that is what the 360 camera, they are coming out with does. You can switch out cameras on this one.

The video it say the drone just turns itself and takes the photos needed.

So, I haven't done the 360* thing, but I've unlocked a game changer for me...

    Mapping.

Today I flew and mapped my first section of our property. Google Earth hasn't updated the imagery of my area since 2013. So, I'm starting to do it my self with the Mavic.

Here's the difference in resolution, same corner, same height:

The area I did was about 12 acres and it only took about 8 minutes to fly. I used MapsMadeEasy.com and their app ($10).

I can't wait to do it again once the underbrush turns and the leaves start falling! The detail is crazy awesome and is plugged right into my Google Earth :tu:

Awesome vid. I am looking at the Phantom 4 pro. Hopefully by or before christmas. But then Im also looking at a 60" zero turn mower and a 4 wheeler. In due time we will see which order it happens but they will happen.
