Was in the mid 20's every morning this weekend, bucks and does moving well, elk too. My brother and I didnt pull the trigger or trip a release on anything, but it was so nice to get that type of cold clear hunting conditions, feels like hunting season to me now..enough of that early archery season heat! its gone!

How bout you all, hows the temps and what do you prefer?

So far this season I have seen one rub and one scrape. We are way behind around here. The leaves are just now changing and I could have hunted in a short sleeve shirt! I don't know what is going on, but deer still have to eat and reproduce.

I like 40 and below temps the best.I tried hunting in a ground blind this weekend with my son in eighty degree weather. It had to be over 100 in the blind.I will take the cold any day over the heat.

You're making me sick!! It's been above 80* here since last weekend. This weather is hard to hunt in. But at least I have still been seeing deer. Mostly in the evenings tho.

It's been in the 80's here, but later in the week it's supposed to get to the lower 60's. I prefer mid 20's and below. The colder the better.

That sounds good there Troy!! It's suppose to freeze here tonight, It has a couple times already the last few weeks. I like the temps In that 20 degree range. We have a few scrapes and rubs going on. It's hard to find the scrapes though, 70% of the leaves are off the tree's around my area. It's getting close. October 24th of last year was when I rattled my 140 incher In. His neck was big then already, 11 days from today. Again, It's getting close and almost time!;)

    Good luck Troy.

Oh ya!! Dan some of these guys don't know what they are missing. :d

When the day time highs are 15 below you need not worry about any sane person out ruining your hunt. You are the only insane person out there or so says your wife.

Love it when your wool glove freezes to your bow and you have to peel it off your bow because you don't want to peel it off your hand after a chilly hunt !! :nana:

Having a huge ice frosty moustache Tom Selleck would die for that takes an hour to thaw out after you get home.

Troy is soooo going to love bowhunting here at the end of December. He thinks he loves cold... boy is life going to be bliss for him when he gets here!! :woot: :whip:

How do we get some of that cold. I hate this warm weather. The weekend felt like summer. I watched people out water skiing on Sunday!
