Very touching story my friend,I truly hope our hunt together up here will be as inspiring as yours was in Africa. I know for sure it won't be as warm,LMAO. Hopefully I can get you onto one of Alberta's known big bucks in The Bowzone. I'll have you updated as I progress with trailcam pics of whats walking by your stands that won't be sat in till you come. One day I'll venture down your way on an Elk hunt with all the guys. God touches the one to whom does good to others. God Bless

Now that is a cool thing. There are a lot of good people on here that is for sure. This will be a great year to read about everyone's trips to the west. Like i describe elk hunting to others, if that doesn't light your fire, your wood must be wet.

    Which Colour

    Hey Guys,

Having never hunted RME before I am finding this an excuse to buy some new camo (nothing to do with the fact I've lost 50lbs in preperation for this trip ;) )

I have always hunted in ASAT or realtree, however I am tempted to buy some Predator, but cannot decide which pattern, I am torn between Deception Brown and Fall Grey. Which one is best for the area we will be hunting? I have forund somewhere where I can still get fall grey, and Like the look of it but has it too much white?

Or, should I buy more ASAT?

    HELP........

If I were u I'd get the fall grey as I've been using it for 12 years and have used it in all the area's a person would hunt and have disappeared in every situation. I love it and I still say it's the best tree stand outfit to where aloft. The grey acts as the skyline while the limbs and branch's act as the tree. I used it also last year in the open plains in Southern Alberta for my Antelope and my buddy said he had a hell of a time picking me out of the shrubery. I crawled to with in 40 yards of a doe and buck on that hunt and kneeled to shoot before they knew I was there. It's a great all around pattern and the material is second to none. Good luck on the hunt.

Hi Guys, Well here are a few reasons to get ya ass outta bed at 3am to go Hunt in Scotland!!

The three days proved to be a succesfull hunt in what we were trying to achieve, basically thin out a few small "cull " bucks and glass the main doe population holding areas ready for the August "Rut", personally I wish it was doe season because I would have had a hell of alot of backstrap in the freezer from all those beautiful does!!

Well we stuck to the management plan to put us in good order for some good "Trophy 6 pointers" in August !

This for me was a little teaser ready for my first Bowhunt in Colorado, WHOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!

    To be continued............

    Anyways how you'all doin?

    Yep, straight away:rock:

On a different note I've just ordered some new camo. Just got to wait for it to arrive now, 3-4 weeks!!

Adjusted my new string last night with my DIY linear press it's looking quite good, just waiting on the G5 peep before I do my final tuning, but its getting there:

He is tough to find at first Glance, maybe its just the photo. He is a great 6 pointer and will be mine in August, I just could not get close enough to get a better picture!
He looked mighty fine through the Swarovski, but did not present a decent shot, too bad!

    LOL....

The bulls are looking really good. Their top points are pretty much developed. It won't be long before they start coming out of velvet. It's in the air here...you ccan nearly smell it. It was 67 degrees in the middle of July at 6pm today.

Camera phone shoots from the yard:

    Steve,

The bear smacked my BBQ around on the deck. I had the family down at the Buena Vista home this past weekend for the holiday. It was tough sitting there while two sheep (Bighorns) were munching grass not more than twenty yards away. I was pretty strategic when I built these two home.
