Tried to call you with flight details Colin but your phones engaged constantly. Suppose Dave's keeping you chatting
ha ha Mark, dont write things like that, the boss will know i spend my life arranging hunting trips when i should be working! LOL.
It was great to hear from you guys today, (Dave & Mark), I really am glad I said Hello and now I think i will have a great trip to Colorado ahead! Just gotta get that flight booked, and keep the HOYT tuned!!! "Cant wait to play a little string music to those bulls in Colorado"
Hello Guys, MY FLIGHTS ARE BOOKED!!!!!!WHOHOOOOOO!!!!!!! IM COMING TO ELK CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait to meet all you guys and let the good times roll at Elk camp, its starting to sink in that my dream to hunt in the great USA is happening!!!! Lets hope the HOYT gets up to FULL DRAW!!! All the best Colin G.
Only problem with shooting the 1st 12 point pope and young I stalk is the10 days ill be sitting there with nothing else to do all tagged out! he he Colin, its cool to see another Brit coming along. I was starting to think most people on the BBA forum just 'talked' about hunting. The hunt simulator was a good crack, closest we get to 'the real thing' in England. Ha ha, Ill be up for going out in pairs, but I want to see you in the flesh first! Photoshop does wonders for people and I aint got enough space in my case to bring my banjo for protection.
What you see is what you get!! I look forward to meeting you Bowsmith, and dont worry leave the banjo behind cause I will be playing plenty of string music with the HOYT!!!
Hey did Will explain to all you fellow Brits that the entry fee into elk camp for non-resident aliens is to be payed in single malt? A bottle each of your choosing should suffice.
Well, where I come from that seems a fair price to pay, for right of passage! I will see if I can smuggle a nice 18 year scotch across the pond! See you there Rob!
Now were talking! Rob, we need to craft a flag pole with enough room for the Stars and Stripes, the Blue Ensign, the Union Jack, and a pair of Dave's soiled knickers. Then again, who is going to run up the latter? Never mind......
Don't you worry about my knickers Will , I'll just throw them up and they'll stick up their on there own . Will , Mary is gonna do her nut when she see's all us guys walk through the door with our kit lol Rob , that looks like 4 bottles of Fine single malt coming Elk Camp . That's a couple of sore heads in the morning I think .
Nah mate, I've found that smoked salmon is the perfect cure for counterbalancing whiskey. Of course, if you're concerned about the extra weight in your pack you can always leave it behind in camp. I'm certain there's a few good hearted souls that would be willing to bear your burden and asuage your hangovers. I'm sure when Mary gets wind of this she'll be headed to Fiji with the kids long before we show!
Will, Any idea how the Elk/Deer have faired this Winter in unit 45? Above/Below avg: Snow, Temps, Winterkill?
No clue Matt. For the most part the animals are still down low. The really won't begin moving back to the high contry until the end of this month. The cows like to calve in the high bowls. The bulls are already starting to sport their new headgear...
