Especially after we do some blacktail hunting and halibut fishing while he's here and then chase peccaries there. Poor guy'd be whooped. I'm guessing he'd have to quit work, sell everything but the truck, give it all to the soon to be ex and leave there at the end of July to get us to Will's on time!

I'm guessing not. If there's one thing that Will is better at than bowhunting, it's being a gracious host.

Door is open to everyone. Remeber, the mountains are vast and filled with elk. However, there are no guarantees-another words, "Don't shoot the host"! I will do my best to have everyone go home feeling successful. With that said, "Having fun" should be your priority! Bring it Tek!

The only thing I ever expect when hunting is to be outdoors. I look for the experince not the kill. This would be my first time out west and there is no better way I'd have it. I know with the group of people here it would be a once in a lifetime camp. I'm 90% in just need to figure out if I'm driving or flying. And of course talk to the wife.

Hope you don't mind Rob , but this is my new screensaver . It truly is an awesome photo , how far away from the Elk were you when it was taken and did you get the shed after the bear had killed it .

Just like Gary did in Tx. He has the trophy photo to prove it.

There's a rancher here on the island that's raising them, buffalo and yaks. I was only about 40 yards away for the photo standing at the edge of the high fence. The only skill involved was getting a frame so that the green tags in their right ears weren't showing (you can see one here if you take your eyes off the racks!). I think that was a $10K supper for that bear. The rancher got the head.

Ain't it great! With this size group - Elk will fall...I just hope the campfire laughter doesn't drive the Elk out of Unit 45:)

Hope you dont mind Rob but I borrowed you photo to help me a little.
Ok guys in this scenario where I placed the red dot, is that where you would place the shot on one of these critters. This shot placement is what I would use on our deer over here in this slightly quatering away stance.

Nah , the gas you get from eating all the rich camp food will do a good enough job of that :p

    Excel,

That would be a cracker shot there mate. He would be yours to keep for sure.

The elk do not need to worry about the laughter-they can handle it. It will be Rex's snoring that sends em packing! Then again, they might gather around the camp to listen to the stories Radioboy tells while he's dreaming aloud-lol-they're amazing feats of manhood! I never laughted so hard in my life! Dave, who is Veronica by the way?

Two words ------------------------- EAR PLUGS! (pack 'em!)

If he snores louder than you, I'm gonna pack isolation dampeners for my cot legs.

    On another note........

Who's purchasing/putting in for what (tags)?

On advice from my guide (Wilbur), I'm puttng in for a mule deer tag.....and I'll be purchasing an either-sex elk tag. I'm not proud. I'll shoot (at) the first "non-baby" that offers me a shot....male or female.
