I will be bringing my Jim Jones Firefly TD Longbow. Current one is 58" 60#@28". At my 26" draw it is 51#. I have a new one on order which will be finished at the end of this month. Its a Firefly again but this time it will be 55# at my draw of 26". Anyone is welcome to shoot it. Pic of current one below.

Try to find one without the foam padding being cut out. All you need to do then is use a really sharp knife and cut the shape out for your riser and limbs. Remeber to cut well inside the lines as you want the padding to stretch around the limbs etc holding them nice and snug. I will be using a standard arrow case for my arrows and just taping it to the bow box.

I feel a little bad for not posting this, earlier. My good friend; hunting partner and trad. mentor will be coming out, also. He's a wonderful bowyer (makes all of his own 3-piece longbows......including a new one I've had the pleasure of watching him build over the last couple weeks); a great hunter; an accomplished shooter (when I pick him up to go to shoots.....my wife compares it to picking up Tiger on the way to the golf course....lol); and just an all-around great guy. He's probably taken 100 animals with the bow, and this will be his second trip to CO elk hunting. He shot the IBO Trad. Worlds last year.....and was paired (based on the first two days scores) with Rod Jenkins on day 3. Page finished in the top 10 in the modern longbow class....with his self-made bow.....a few spots ahead of Rod.:D

He'll be a great addition to the group....and an absolute wealth of knowledge to anyone in the trad. archery world (regardless of skill level or experience). Really looking forward to sharing camp with him, there.

I snapped this shot after we recovered this '09 buck he took in Oct..

    2000 Hoyt Havoc...60# at 28in.:)

If I get some heavier arrows will bring my Nirk Rebel recurve as an emergency backup - 50# at 28in.

I am very interested to get my hands on some REAL trad bows and see what "fits" me best...I enjoy shooting my recurve in the summer but it's actually a youth recurve I believe...

Here are some cases for you guys to look at.

    http://www.bobleearchery.com/store.php/products/bc001-fleece-travel-case-for-3-piece-bow

    http://www.raptorstore.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_131&products_id=153

These are soft cases but you can put them into your luggage with your clothing.

Have not been able to find any take down hard cases yet if I do I will post links to them.
