So last week I noticed a banner on another bowhunting forum advertising Tom Miranda giving away a new creed in a drawing if you joined the pope and young. Since I was already interested in the pope and young, and who doesn't want a new mathews? I thought what the heck... Today I got on the ferry and drove an hour to the appliance store to buy a backup kerosene heater, but when I got there the 450$ refurbished model was gone and they only had models for 750$. Bummer. Out of my price range. Waste of a day I could have been hunting. But then, on the way out of the parking lot I get a call from Minnesota! Oh lucky day! You just won... A new creed!!! Thank you so much! I told the nice lady with Midwestern accent she made my day, but it's more like my year! It just caps off the best hunting season of my life, and this is only my first year hunting! I feel very blessed and grateful. Hunting feels so natural, the time I spend in the woods makes me a better person. Now if I could just find a friend who will go bowhunting with me I'll give them the g5 rogue I bought myself for my birthday in November! Merry Christmas, Pope & Young and Tom Miranda and Mathews!

No, but I did have to go back and mentally check that I hadn't given her all my PINs...but yeah, I won't really believe it until I'm holding it. All she asked was how I wanted it set up, so I figured that was a good sign... Any reccommendations how I should set this baby up? I'm thinking qad hunter rest, 1/4 glow peep, axion gridlock stabilizer...

Well, just the club, no pope and young bucks for me, yet. But, and I know it's not fair, I happen to have two months of extended season coming up, and a pretty good idea about where one or two might be...and I live on an island, so it's just me ( and 40 other hunters, most of whom are using shotguns) till the end of February, my hopes are high! Especially when that creed shows up in the mail. Good score on the Sitka gear, that stuff looks choice.
