Bry, here's what I plan on putting on both of my Flex Guard bows this year.

Exactly. Nothing more. NO compound was going to be mine! (again...NO cut on compounds)

I don't get ga-ga over ANY compound, these days. But, I still like to keep my pulse on what's "out there". I shoot a lot of bows (a few times), when I'm at the shop. Some, I'm impressed with (as much as I can be). Some.....not so much.

It generally follows (my interpretation of them) what you guys think. Sometimes, not so much. Rarely, do I see a HUGE discrepancy. But it happens (and I'm OK with that).

Congrats, again. You did well (based on what's out there.....in the compound market).

Ben, that's not a bad idea. I'll have to keep those in mind.

I did check all of the screws on my cams and basically anywhere that was worked on while we set up the bow and everything was snug and tight. I did find a quiver mount on my sight that was not tightened all the way down. I removed it since my quiver mounts to the riser.

That definitely reduced the felt vibration that I had at the shot. There is still a little and I plan on getting some BowJax and perhaps the Limbsaver strips to deaden it down the rest of the way. I'm not so much concerned about the vibration as I'd like to quiet it down even more if possible. It's already very quiet, but you can't minimize noise too much on any bow IMO.

Also keep in mind there are in the works one or two dampeners made especially for the FLX guard.

Congrats again! I look forward to your review.

That's right. I'll probably hold off and see what they come out with.

Gary, my true DL is 28" but I always shoot 27.5" since most companies are long.

You had a chance to do some serious shooting/tuning? Or has the weather had you house locked? :-)

I got out on Sunday to the indoor range to shoot some out to 30 yards, but I still have to walk back and creep tune it before it's all said and done. I tried out a 7 inch Octane stabilizer too and with the weights on the end it feels the same as the 11.5" to me so I ordered the shorter one and will swap them out when it comes in.
